I am in NO way a fan of Bush or Cheney,
but at least they're not lying about what they did. If these congressmen would just come out and say that they knew what was going on and did nothing about it, sure it would make them look bad, but not as bad as lying about it does.
I guess it shouldn't surprise us, though, that there's no taking responsibility for actions in our government - that's one of the biggest problems in our country - it's always someone else's fault.
Take 'em all down, I say. Kick every last one of them out and start anew.

...decided that we should go to war in Iraq, even when AL Qaeda was in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Decided that there were WMDs in Iraq, despite being told by an impartial panel (United Nations) that there were no such things.
We knew right then and there that this country was in deep trouble. We had an arrogant excuse of a president, who was bound and determined to follow his own agenda (or daddy's)no matter what the American people wanted.
I know how you feel, but this problem is NOTHING compared to the mess that the last administration left us in!

Newspaper columnist Robert Novak is still not naming his source in the Valerie Plame affair, but he says he is pretty sure the name is no mystery to President Bush.
I'm confident the president knows who the source is, Novak told a luncheon audience at the John Locke Foundation in Raleigh on Tuesday. I'd be amazed if he doesn't.
So I say, 'Don't bug me. Don't bug Bob Woodward. Bug the president as to whether he should reveal who the source is.'

Reports: Plame Was Monitoring Iran Nukes When Outed

NEW YORK What was Valerie Plame working on at the CIA when she was outed by administration officials and columnist Robert Novak? MSNBC's David Schuster on Monday said he had confirmed an earlier report that she was helping to keep track of Iran's nuclear activity--not a front and center issue for the White House.
Earlier this year, Larisa Alexandrovna of the Web site RawStory.com, reported that Plame, whose covert status was compromised in the leak, was monitoring weapons proliferation in Iran. At the time, officials told her that Plame's outing resulted in severe damage to her team and significantly hampered the CIA's ability to monitor nuclear proliferation.
On last night's Hardball, MSNBC correspondent Shuster reported that intelligence sources told him thatr Wilson was part of an operation three years ago tracking the proliferation of nuclear weapons material into Iran. And the sources asserted, he said, that when here Wilson's cover was blown, the administration's ability to track Iran's nuclear ambitions was damaged as well.

Heads up on PA taxes
Everyone has to know about this. I posted this on the tax board and main board, too. If PA gets away with this, all states are liable to start doing it.
How desperate are the governors getting? PA sent out tax forms to everyone that bought cigarettes from a Native American reservation and they want their tax money. One woman in PA was hit up for over $4,800 and last week, they slapped a Sheriff's Sale sign on her property.
Now, my DH received a letter today. They want anyone in business who bought anything from out-of-state companies (office supplies, equipment, tools, etc.) that don't reciprocate taxes to PA, to pay up. This doesn't just apply to last year. This goes all the way back to 1981!!! Since when, since records do not have to be kept after a certain amount of years, how can they do this? DH doesn't have to worry about it that much. He usually always buys in PA.
I certainly do not have any receipts back to 1981 when I was an IC!
It's bad enough the governor is "threatening" to raise property taxes if he can't pass the higher income tax, but now this. I think our state government should stop the spending like he's always done. We're broke, yet he keeps handing out money.
What kind of government do you call this? More like communism than socialism. They can kiss my butt. I paid sales tax every year I was an IC since we had to charge clients 6% and had a client I didn't know was tax exampt. So they received almost $4000 extra from me, which my great financial advisor at the time did not deduct the extra off our income taxes.

This just coming out.........former Obama staffer (while working with Obama) now coming out that he sat in a meeting with an Islamic organization in Virginia back in September, in which Mr. Asbahi was present, Obama's liason. Now that man alone has a very close relationship with Islamic organizations and it just keeps getting deeper. This Islamic organization has ties with terrorists organizations to include CAIR who was also listed as a coconspirator in terror related groups.
It just keeps getting more interesting. For those that doesn't know who Asbahi is, you need to keep your eyes wide open. Obama is knee deep involved with Muslim and Islamic organizations, even though he has made a point of using his liasons, who are mostly Muslim, to do so now that he is running for President.
