Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr. All of them had a hand in bringing this country to its knees.
Of course its going to take a long time to get our country out of this mess. This is not instantaneous, and the messes go way back to before Bush Jr. even got in the office. So with that said, it is time to stop blaming past presidents and start looking to the future. Yeah, it would be nice if magic could be spun. But it can't. Going back to Obama's campaign slogan "hope". We have to hope he can pull us out or at least get us started back on the right track. Truth is, he's not off to a good start.
So, time to put down to kool-aid and get a cup of coffee and come back to reality here with the rest of us.

First of all, Jewish people should not be condenmed for taking their religious holidays off. Unlike a lot of us, their religion means the world to them. I would never vote for a person (on McCain's ticket) that cannot even string together an intelligent sentence, i.e. Palin. What a disaster. You do know, don't you, that even conservatives are calling for her to step down, because of her lack of intelligence. Working in the medical field since the 60s (worked for oncologists) I know myself how deadly melanoma is and McCain's was found in his lymph glands the last recurrence. able to perhaps save their homes and families, able to pay taxes, which will in turn pay for social programs, support the infrastructure, and then when folk are back to work they will feel secure in perhaps purchasing again, which will help businesses....FDR did it, it takes time, it is not a quick fix, it won't make Obama into Merlin, it took 8 LONG YEARS to get into this bottomless pit, can we give this administration at least a year or two to try to get things moving upward again? I may not support every social program included therein, but work is being done, adn will continue. I used to cross the desert on occasion when I lived in CA, and I am starting to see vultures on the side of the road again circling and not even waiting to pounce and pull apart the government. Why? Was wondering if anyone would comment. I always question what the government feeds us, but I truly never have in my entire life ever heard our enemies say they hate us because we are free. I always think - how absurd. They just want us to leave them along and stop imposing our viewpoints on them. Thanks again.

I'm not sure if you're implying this is a good thing or not and because I didn't know what it means I looked it up. I'll write what I found out and then you can tell me if you think its a good thing or not.
Black theology refers to a variety of Christian theologies which has at its base in the liberation of the marginalized, especially the injustice done towards blacks in American and South African contexts. Black theology mixes liberation theology and the work of Paulo Freire with the civil rights and black power movements.
I had to keep researching certain terms in this because it was still confusing, so I looked up liberation theology and it states that liberation theology is a school of theology within Christianity, particularly in the Roman Catholic Church. Two of the starting points of Liberation theology are first, the question of the original sin, and second, the idea that Christians should make good use of the talents given by God, and that includes intelligence in a general sense, and in particular science.
I then looked up who Paulo Freire is and it says he was a brazilian educator and influential theorist of education. He became familiar with poverty and hunger during the 1929 depression and these experiences shaped his concerns for the poor and would help to construct his particular educational viewpoint.
There's way to much information on both these topics to write here, but to me it sounds like another positive for the Obama's Trinity Unity Church.
