sorry I didn't respond earlier, I think Chele has given me her cold.... :(

This is my whole line of thinking when it comes to voting for Obama. It goes back to the simple WWJD?

Would Jesus vote for Obama? I don't believe he would. I don't believe he would vote for someone who is going to push this country further away from the Father and from the teachings of the Bible.

You have said you're a Christian, which is why I'm talking to you from a biblical point of view. I know to some this won't mean squat. We know that God is the Ultimate Authority. His Word is Law. Even though the Bible does not use the word "abortion" it does condemn it.

Check out these verses in your Bible:

Psalm 106: 35-39 - Talks about serving idols. Abortion is a result of idolatry. Simply put, the person who gets an abortion for convenience believes that the sacrifice of the child is better than the sacrifice of their lifestyle.

Psalm 127:3 - the fruit of the womb is a reward.

Jeremiah 1:5 - Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.

There is a reason, a higher calling for every unborn child.

Now I've read before where you said you don't believe in abortion because you are a Christian, but because everyone is not you believe they should have the right to choose (or something to that effect, please forgive me if I said it wrong)

In the same sense we could say "we shouldn't set laws against murder, because there will always be murder". As Christians, we are to strive to uphold GOD's law. In this instance, a vote for Obama is a vote against God's law. FOC is against God. We do not have the right to undo what God has done. God is the only one who has the right to take away the life he gave.

When it comes to Reverend Wright, lets look at it this way. You go to church or have gone right? Have you ever sat in the back and watched the heads of people listening to the preacher? How many of them are nodding up and down in agreement with what he is saying? How many times have you heard someone say "well my preacher said..."? How long would you stay at a church where you didn't agree with what was being taught? 20 years? 10 years? 6 months? Think of the people you have known for 20 years. How many of them do you not know anything about what they believe? Very few I doubt. The fact is, Obama went to this church for 20 years. He listened to Wright for 20 years. I'm sure he nodded his head many times in agreement.

"Reverend" Wright is essentially a false teacher. He is not teaching about the God of the Bible. Black theology has created a God to suit their purpose. On a side note, Jesus was not black or white. He was probably more middle eastern looking than anything.

My problem is this: why didn't Obama leave if he didn't agree? Why didn't he condemn him immediately when he was first mentioned? Why is it okay that the website of his church says "black this black that" and he wants to talk about a divided nation? There is your division right there! The tide of racism has turned. I can't tell you how many times I have walked into certain stores in my town or certain areas of town and been treated like I was an outsider. It was an awful, horrible thing, slavery. But you know what? It's time to get over it. It's time to move on. It's time to quit shouting black power or white power and start shouting God save us. As a whole. There is no such thing as a black church or a white church. Want to know why Christians are losing their voice in this nation? Because we can't get together in one accord. We are busy feuding over denomination and color and doctrine that it is ridiculous. I believe if Jesus were here today he would call Wright a viper.

I understand wanting change. I do. But remember in 1 Samuel, they cried for a king, and God gave them a king. And then came the judgment. It is just to similar! People are crying for change, they want someone to lead them to change, and by God we may get that change.

You have got to vote as a Christian first. Just like that letter down below somewhere. Wright is a huge red flag. Michelle is a huge red flag. You know as well as I how many people claim they are Christian and are not. Not only will Obama pass things like abortion and gay marriage rights, how long do you think it will be before laws are passed limiting what our preachers can preach? I know that Obama alone cannot do this, but with a democratic congress and liberal justices, it WILL HAPPEN.

Mccain isn't a great choice. I know. I wish we had a different choice. I too want change. But I do not want the change that Obama is offering. I would rather endure 4 more years of "the same" and pray to God He gives us a righteous and godly candidate in four years. Obama is the instant gratification that people are looking for right now. I truly believe if he wins there will be a huge "buyers remorse" in this nation, especially by Christians. He is going to take us by the hand and lead us down that broad path, GP. I know in your heart you have got to feel this. As sisters in Christ, I am begging you to rethink your vote.

God bless, I'll be praying for us all.
