lessened, IMHO, by the Governor of Virginia **waxing poetic** about how W, as governor and now president, knew about the importance of compassion and comfort during times of tragedy, ergo his presence This really made me angry because I had just watched more and more of the carnage in Iraq, yesterday 6 car bombs, over 200 dead. Again, I reiterate, he is the only president to not attend at least 1 funeral. No one expects him or anyone from the administration to attend 3312 funerals but 1 or 2 would not be out of line. You may think an expectation of presidential presence at a funeral of a solider is **petty** and out of line because this is VT's **time in the light** but I don't.I wonder how many soldiers and Iraqis died on Monday. I wonder what their names were, how old they were and what their plans for the future were. I should not have to reiterate here that this is a tragedy of enormous magnitude. We all know that but I don't think these 32 deserved presidential presence more than any of the 3312.
