How sad it was to see so many hateful things being said about Sen. Obama. And none of it is becuase of what he's done since he's been in government. It was all because of his name.
Also what gets me is the other side is trying to destroy him so that she can be elected. They come out and spew absolute lies about him but people believe it. I've never heard so much racial hatred towards him from the Clinton side and people still in this day and age think its okay.
I think Barack is the only hope this country has to get back on track, pull the country out of the debt its in, bring our troops back - and most importantly get them the psychological help they need (we just watched a show about the soldier's coming back and what they have to face. One guy said he feels like a ghost in this country. Everything he knew before he left is gone and he has changed so much and has seen such horrors of what they are being forced to do to innocent people). It was really quite sad and both my husband and I sat in tears because we were both in the military and its just awful to think the service that we were so proud to serve in (during Regan years) is so awful now.
Anyway...Clinton does not care about the troops, she just is saying what she thinks the people want to hear. She voted for the war along with McCain and she has no plans (literally - she does not have a plan at all) for bringing the troops home. Also within two weeks after her husband was elected the first time they totally destroyed the military and people had no respect for the people who fight each day so we can live free. Barack does have a plan. He's a good man, has done such good things for the country, helping the poor, etc. He's just a down to earth nice guy and his wife is a wonderful person and would make a gracious first lady.
I just hope people can get over their biggotted opinions and look past that to find the good person he is.
