The difference is essential. Huff backs up what it says. It is openly democrat-leaning. It is okay to be biased, one must just admit to the fact and not try to disguise their bias like Faux does. I guess you must figure if you use his middle name enough times people are going to think what? That he's Saddam reincarnated? You really do not give America enough credit to know a name does not make a person who they are, the goodness they do and what they believe in make them a good person. So...when you post about John McCain do you write John Sydney McCain? And do you write Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton? No. You don't even know what Hussein means. Here's a bit of background of the origin of his name. Barack means "To bless" and Hussein means "to be good". Both are beautiful names. I know exactly what you are trying to do. You believe that if you say his name enough times in full people will think of Saddam Hussain. But there are many more good people with the name. For instance...King Hussein of Jordan. The person who wrote the Kite Runner is Khaled Hossain and many more. In fact there are more good people named Hussein than are bad.
Hussein is a very common name in Bangladesh just like Smith or Jones. His middle name honors his grandfather. In case you don't realize this, he was born in America and raised in a Christian home, went to christian churches. To incite feelings of "fear" because his middle name is Hussein? Well just shows what kind of person you are.
Also, you didn't show the good things he has done working in government. And the stuff you did write I don't think a lot of people know what all this means. I read it and its just mumbo jumbo. If you want to talk about bad records and bad things people have done while in government, lets post about Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton. There's enough reading material to last a lifetime.

Singing a different tune.
I almost died when I saw that the ACLU was preparing a lawsuit on behalf of (among others) Christopher Hitchens. This is the guy who went from left-leaning, writing for The Nation to so far right he is not recognizable. I rarely listen to him anymore because, like so many of the radical right, he is so abrasive I find him difficult to stomach. This is a guy who hates the ACLU until he needs it because the ACLU will defend the constitutional rights of anyone and everyone, not just the people, groups, corporations that some find acceptable. As American citizens we all have the right to due process and legal representation no matter how heinous the crimes we have committed. The right goes nuts when the ACLU defends those they disdain but interestingly, Hitchens and Rush both have turned to the ACLU for help when personally in need. Where are their right-wing lawyers?? Why do they need the ACLU to help them?? Why indeed.
Also, on another note, I am again disgusted that this administration who has not one person amongst them who has ever seen combat in any war/conflict is swiftboating AGAIN, this time John Murtha, a REPUBLICAN. First we had Max Cleland who was decried as unpatriotic. Then Al Gore's service did not count because he was only a journalist (journalists are in harm's way and he was serving in Viet Nam). Then there was John Kerry who actually fought, led and had medals to prove it ...what to do??? Why, question the authenticity of the medals of course. And now, John Murtha, a lifelong military guy, Republican, with medals galore and now his medals are being questioned. I don't know why the military people who frequent these boards are not outraged by this. I understand that the first 3 mentioned were Democrats but Murtha...you guys are okay with this??? You could fill a library with what this administration does not know about military strategies, plans, actual experience and yet they are so arrogant as to swiftboat one of their own who has been behind them 100% up to this point. This is beyond appalling.

It's time to stop the nonsense and hold those accountable for their actions. It's time to let the government know we don't want to be told how to live anymore. Freedom is not free anymore. It costs a lot of money and our freedoms are slowly being whittled away one by one. I want to see my grandchildren enough those freedoms, not wind up being told how to live, what to eat, where and when to work, etc.

The freeze is pending review of the Gitmo operations. You are just plain STUPID to think that Obama is going to flood the streets with the detainees. They will be transerred to different facilities (last I heard, they were considering re-opening Alcatraz, for example!), their charges and cases reviewed and heard in a legitimate court proceedings, but don't look for ALL cases to stand, especially the ones where the only evidence against the accused was gained by means of torture. Some of them may well end up walking. You will have your beloved shrub and Cheney to thank for that.

Do you recall the game folks play at parties where a story is whispered in the ear of one person after another and then the story is read as it started out and then read as it ended up? I guess at least the moderator still believes in free speech, even if liberals do not. Liberals, who profess to be tolerant, are the most INtolerant group I have ever seen (at least most of the ones who come here). You ask a question, counter a point, ask them to defend a belief, and they go nuts. At least you finally put the truth into words...separate. I guess that is what liberals want. Well, my friend, I have news for you. This is America. COnservatives have just as much right to be here as liberals. If you are firm in your beliefs, you should have no problem debating. There is 1 who posts here who still believes that conservatives have the same rights liberals do, and is able to look past idealistic rhetoric to get to the real truth of things. but it does seem like the Republicans recognize those in their midst who claim to be Republican but their actions do not follow...and they call them out on it. RINOs. Obviously there are those on the liberal side as well. Makes sense there would be. It is just that I have never seen them separate themselves before...especially to the extent of a couple of posters who answered my question a couple of weeks ago. Very interesting. and I agree it would be difficult. You are right; the statistics I find say that 40% of the "convenience abortions" are not the first or even the second abortion for the woman. That being the case, I am not content to say because it would be hard to sort out, just go ahead and kill'em all anyway. So I will continue to vote for a man who will at least take a stab at trying to fix it.
And so myself and others with agree to disagree...and some of us will agree, at least, that abortion is wrong but fixing it won't be easy...
