It's not her addiction that bothers me it's the stealing and the double standard by her husband. McCain puts other people in jail and rips apart families for drug crimes. I bet there are at least 100 infants in foster care in AZ right now because their mom tested +.

What about the Clinton double standard? What about the Obama double standard of dealing with a slum lord (and knowing it) and at the same time castigating other slum lords in Chicago? That seems pretty hypocritical to me, but I avoided it until the tear up Cindy McCain stuff started. You guys act as if the McCains invented using wealth to get out of legal problems. I don't think I understand the double standard here for Palin...
Palin says Obama is "just" a community organizer and unqualified for the job, but we aren't supposed to say anything about her unbelievable lack of knowledge. She showed that all by herself w/o the help of the campaign.
She tried to tie Obama to terrorists and says he's a socialist, marxist, and I don't even know what all else. And yet she should not have any scrutiny when she has video out there of her with the witch doctor.
Fox News can take a video of a fist bump between PRESIDENT-ELECT Obama and his wife and call it some kind of terroist signal, and MSNBC is not supposed to point out just how ridiculous this is?
Fox News, yet again strikes and plasters a bottom of the screen banner over video of Michelle Obama calling her a "baby mama," and we aren't supposed to question Palin's fifth child that was soooo questionable.
If you want to be mad at somebody about talking about Sarah Palin, try the republican party. They are the ones who ruined her. They are the ones talking about how much her clothes were. They are the ones talking about the show up at the door in a towel incident.

...is that things are SO MUCH WORSE than he was lead to believe during the campaign. Much was concealed from him. He inherited such a big mess and he had absolutely no idea how much work there would be. And when his policies fail, as they are destined to do, he will have made a ruin of our entire way of life and can still blame the whole thing on Bush. It's a no-lose situation for Obama.
The Obama campaign became almost a cult experience. People wailing and crying and fainting. The promise of free stuff: *If I help him, he'll help me. I won't have to worry about filling my gas tank and paying my mortgage.* This is exactly what got Obama elected. Smooth, slick, TelePrompTer dependent without appearing to be, well packaged and carefully managed, lots of emotional appeal. Those who voted for him bought sizzle. The sizzle is starting to fizzle, and there will never be a steak.

in order to win over a "moderate muslim" because they are by definition open to Western ideas regarding politics and general ideas. They embrace a sort of liberal Islam in sharp contrast to the extremist or fundamentalist muslims who have zero tolerance and believe in and embrace the concept of Jihad against the infidels.
I'm not just talking about muslims who live in the U.S., but muslims around the world. For example, President Karzai of Afghanistan has been deemed a moderate muslim because of his political ideas which is why he fears violence against him from the extremists in his country.
Get it? Obama saying that he wants to "win over" moderate muslims is akin to a MTSO saying they want to "win over" Indian MTs to work with them. It won't be hard and will take very little convincing. Not to mention King Obama is the "world's president." Like I said, he's just posturing of the media. The liberal media loves him and his pretty speeches. Journalists have become babbling idiots since O burst on the scene.

because of the format...not to snub any particular town. He does not do when the questions are not scripted. No one knows what is going to be asked at a town hall meeting, and they are asked by regular folks, not paid commentators. Not enough control to suit Mr. Obama. I don't blame him. He doesn't have the experience to handle one, he would come off looking bad and he knows it. Politics 101. Obama would not pick as his Chief of Staff a man who wasn't eye-to-eye on the majority of issues. It's basically the president's wing man. No one's going to buy the notion that Obama picked Emanuel as a counterbalance to his own ideas. He picked him because they share common beliefs, which some of us find a little frightening (like mandatory military-style training and/or service).

But, I suspect you would neither understand nor APPROVE of anything you deem "frivolous." The Dow has been up for 4 days running, at least 3 major banks are seeing profits and are stating they no longer require any bailout money.........Bringing in Congress and various insiders for a weekly get-together is a good way to inspire and promote goodwill.....but I guess the WH is something to look at - not live in.

This should go in the National Enquire, Star or something. Sure he's in good physical shape, but whether you think he is nice looking or not is all a matter of opinion. My MIL thought Bill Clinton was "the bees knees" saying "I wouldn't kick him out of my bed, or he can park his shoes under my bed. I felt like throwing up every time I saw him. But, pics of shirtless leaders should should stay in the tabloids. he is supposed to be a leader. This goes to show more and more that he is not. As someone said he's acting like a "Hollywood wannabe". This is not the actions of someone who is supposed to be a stateman, the leader of a country. If you're going to put the pic of a country's leader on the front cover of a magazine they should be properly attired. Could be one of the reasons why most don't refer to him as President Obama, but rather as Mr. Obama.

And, I do not think that being President of the United States means you cannot go to the beach anymore or have a vacation with your family without covering yourself and if someone wants to take a picture of him in that way, then what can he do?
