people from other countries who speak more than 1 language. It is not just european countries that learn more than their own language. Puerto Rico, for 1, speak both Englisn and Spanish but prefer to speak Spanish. If America is going to be global, then speaking more than 1 language, our own, is benefical to us all. That does not mean we are sell outs. I think it was good of Obama to bring that out.

I always admired Powell
There are some people you admire even if their politics are different and it's because they appear to have integrity. That's what the frothing right-winger(s) on this board don't understand. It's more about integrity than political affiliation for some of us. And that's why so many folks don't care for Bush - he had a life-long history of lacking integrity and being publicly mean and petty at times.
I've always admired
He shows what a good photographer can do with any subject. I saw one where he made Putin look almost human. Genius with a camera, that's for sure.
Traveling abroad, working out...is a little different than running a country...sm
Being president at 72 is a lot more stressful than someone in their 80s enjoying their golden years traveling and working out.
Yes, he endured five years of torture and he is respected for that but he also wasn't 72 when he it happened. He was a very young man at the time and AGAIN the man is respected for that and that's all we owe him our respect NOT our vote!
One of the things I admired about Clinton...sm
He gets a bad wrap on foreign policy but he was a statesman. He could persuade and negotiate. Those qualities are nil in our current president.
