Again your presumptions that you know best. What on earth makes you presume that the Iraq people are depending on us? Depending on us for what? They only thing the Iraqi people can depend on from the United States is more pain. What bubble are you living in?
I am confident that once we pull out the military and start sending envoys to help rebuild the country with monetary support under the direction of the Iraqi people, and not the other way around, we may find some kind of resolution, but not until then.
Your way of thinking only provokes further military action. If we are doing such a great job how did Sadar come into power with half his people in government? Boy, that military action sure is paying off isn't it?

Unskilled? As much as he is worried about healthcare you would think he would give some credit to those of us who make sure medical information is typed correctly. They don't care about quality unless the account complains. So because we are "unskilled" that makes it okay for our jobs to go to friggin India. To me...not only should that kind of information NOT go out of the country, but it is like he is picking and choosing which jobs are important and which ones are not.
Our jobs should be kept here not only because many people need these kind of work but also because sending pertinent information, like SS#s, out of country, to me, is a matter of national security. What an ars!

I watched him get off his Air Force One plane last night. He looked so proud. Never waved, just gave the look, "ME, ME, ME."
His speech he made yesterday was horrible, actually terrifying. He made some want to run in fear, but run to what? After HIS speech yesterday (being realistic here) we are going down, all of us. Major trickle effect in our economy is going to occur. People will be starting to cut back on cable TV, not going out to eat, etc., and then those employees in restaurants and businesses will be out of jobs and it goes on and on.
I thought somewhere in the stimulus it will show a break for buyers to buy new cars. Who the heck has money to buy a 25,000 to 45,000 dollar car IF you are out of a job. Sure you can do that if you have a job, but NOT a job. You need food on the table instead. It just does not look good, especially after O's speech yesterday. He loves to make you run in fear and likes to threaten ya which does not work for me. I need positive remarks, not negative.

Please keep an open mind and listen to what I have to say and try and see it how others do. I've been reading your previous posts and you sound like you are on a mission to save all the aborted babies (before being aborted). This is the way I feel...I believe in a higher power (our Creator). I feel so strongly that he is a powerful and just God. I believe that when a soul dies it goes to the other side and will live forever in a world of love and will be taken care of. I would rather know that a soul that has been aborted is now living on the other side with our creator in a life of love and compassion being taken care of by the people who have passed on before us. I would rather know they are there rather than having to spend an eternity in he!! on this earth. A baby that lives but was going to be aborted will never be loved the way a baby should be loved. For those with stories that their mother was going to abort but decided to keep you and you were born and you had the most loving family that is wonderful. But I think we all know very well that too many times it doesn't work out like that. The baby is born into a world where the mother blames it for everything bad that happens to her. I have a freind who's mother blames her for being born. She tells her if she never had her then her (the mother) life would have been so much better and she would have been able to accomplish everything she wanted to do, but society forced her into having the baby and now everything is my friends fault and my friend has never felt the kind of love most of us have when growing up. It is so so so sad to see and unfortunately it happens a lot. So as horrible as abortion may seem to some, I think its a Godsend to the unborn baby that is now in the heavens with our God. When being aborted the time length between life and death is short which is a lot better than having to live their whole lives (sometimes over 80 years) in a life of he!!
There are so many reasons that people have to have abortions and I don't think it is anyone's right to judge them for their actions.
I also believe after a person departs this earth and meets our Creator they will have to face some serious times. If you have an abortion of necessity that is one thing, but if you aborted a fetus that is developed or had been born already that is a whole other situation - again between the creator and the person.
I think its very very important that a woman is allowed to make a serious decision like this between themselves, their doctor and nobody else. No political figure or some religious figure giving their opinions of what should be done based on what they believe.
So, that is just my opinion.

Substantiation, no real substance, and yet these people are CHOOSING to start devisive threads with divisive remarks on this board, even making statements that historically are 100% inaccurate. Yes, I pray for unity, compassion, wisdom, etc., but the rabid Republicans on this board (and I do not mean all Rep., just a few loud ones), want to harshy judge and condemnn the new administration without giving things a chance, what would you call that? What about the "hit and run" posts by right wingers who continue to stir the pot with incorrect, slanted, and inflammatory remarks here? Fair is fair, I try to back up each statement I make with historical facts, I try to see both points of view (wow, I have actually agreed with Republicans on certain subjects!), but this board is not about me, or you, it is about all of us trying to hash out all the many struggles this nation now has, and with restraint, intelligence, and care look at each problem and try to help fix it. America comes first. Period.

This really confuses me. It's my understanding that the Dems STILL haven't taken over. They need 60 in the Senate in order to prevent a fillibuster, and as I write this, the Republicans (still in control) are threatening to fillibuster the proposed auto maker bailout/loan legislation. Since the Democrats DO NOT have the majority they need, the Republicans may very well do that.
So please explain to me how the Democrats are in control because I keep seeing this and truly don't understand how that is.

Oh well....for whatever reason Bill said what he did.....it is still nice to hear someone admiring both candidates, saying they are both ready to be president, and not cutting down one party or the other. It was a nice change for once.

The intelligence committees of Congress (both House and Senate) have full access to all CIA documents. Members of both of those committees know full well that Pelosi stepped in a cow patty when she called the CIA liars, so this outcome was completely predictable.
What makes this whole thing all the more deplorable is that these are the very same people who were self-righteously calling for similar probes regarding the previous administration just a few weeks ago.

I know this is somewhat irrelavant since the Dems are going to win
in November. I am an Obama supporter but also a political junkie, so for me it's interesting to try to figure out who McCain is going to pick for VP, even if it doesn't matter in the end.

Yep, the dems in congress won't do anything
until they have a dem as president. They know if they do something positive, such as helping us with our oil/energy problem, Bush will get the credit and they won't stand for that.

I am not a Republican by the way...am an Independent. I don't owe any party my vote...but I have Democrats in my family and they do not speak like this...

But the media, the dems, and
all these Obama supporters just sweep that under a rug. They continue to point fingers and blame others and yet they will take no responsibility at all for what they did. They will not give McCain credit for his warning. They will not admit that they ignored that warning. I'm tired of the media having their nose up Obama's ars. They call McCain a coward for wanting to postpone the debate when it was McCain who was pushing for the debate before until this and now he wants to be in Washington to help find a solution. He wants to put the country first instead of his own personal campaign. To me...this says a lot about McCain and yet the dems and the media can do nothing but downgrade. How in the world are we to have a fair election when the media is so obviously one-sided?
At this point, I really don't know that any candidate can get us out of this mess. I guess I've just lost hope all around. As for all those so-called plans Barry Obama promised.....he can't do a one of them....not that they would have worked in the first place but now it is impossible for him to even try. So now what, Barry? What else are you going to promise you will do that you can't deliver on?

Oh, I know all about her. First it was sad to me that voters don't do their homewordk and just believe what literally any politician tells them just because they're R or D. Savage really educates his audience on the San Franfricko "values" and how horribly corrupt they are out there. Take the Bologna case, where the illegal aliens/gang members who killed this poor woman's husband and 2 sons all in one sweep. There's just one example of the sanctuary city thing for ya.
The best way to educate people is to play their own words back for all to hear. That way I make my point and am not accused of being a right-wing hack.
By the same token, I've been literally wailing over Olympia Snow (snot job), Susan Collins, etc...the queen RINOS. They don't belong in the GOP and they need a royal flush. Hagel finally retired, fortunately.
The drivebys are so complicit in this crap, too. If we put out such a horrible product (like a report with only a small portion of the situation, or twisted it completely around), we'd be fired. These people work for us and only answer to their NE lib journalism pals. There are so many facets to this zirconia it's criminal.
