Here is Obama's response on all the Palin family stories swirling around. He said he would fire any staffer found to be stoking the fires on these stories. I agree with him 100%:

"I have said before and I will repeat again: People's families are off limits," Obama said. "And people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of politics. You know my mother had me when she was 18 and how a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be a topic of our politics."

There's lots of information here from Indian publications here. Lots. And they all say the same thing. So I guess they are lying too. Ward Churchill, evidently, is not an Indian, has used his faux Indian status to get an education (when perhaps a REAL American Indian could have used that education), has plagiarized and spit on real American Indians. And still you defend him. Amazing.
by the way, one of the stories I heard
during hurricane Ike from someone who knew the family, was a break in and theft, but he went past the purse and jewelry and went for the food. That was all he took although he totally wiped an old lady out of all that she had to eat.

Poor mistreated, misguided kids. If this were happening, the nightly news would be flooded with stories, continuously, nonstop day in and day out. That's all you would hear. Please give us a break. You are breaking my heart...
The Bible gives us stories
about the beginning of time. It doesn't give us every story of every incident that took place or of all the things that God created. If it did, we would have a book so huge and thick we couldn't even turn the pages. Some have a tendency to believe that brothers slept with sisters to populate the earth since Adam and Eve were the only human beings on earth at that time. I tend not to think so as I believe God may have created other humans in different parts of the big world. Adam and Eve were the FIRST humans He created. There is no mention that they were the ONLY ones He created. Maybe Adam and Eve were the only ones to be recorded because they were the first. You never know and since you don't know, you can't determine that it isn't the case.

Oprah, Ellen and Dr. Phil are nothing more than what the media has hyped them up to be. Lots of folks are getting tired of all of them and their popularity is waning. When they are no longer "out there" in the media, you and everybody else will forget about them.

from my Canadian friends! I can't understand why anyone who knows how that system works would want to bring it to the US! If this is what we have to look forward to our country is in DEEP trouble!!!

This is amazing. Bush has the gall to say that secret prisons and torture are not against the law. When he is told that it is in fact against the law, he says that its okay because he doesn't agree with the law... My God...his cheese has flipped off his cracker. And conservatives wonder why people are against little things like mixture of church and state. This sheds a new light on how I look at church and state.
I've always thought there should be a separation. It's like all of these things - faith based government funding, law suits about 10 commandments in federal buildings, you know - allow religion to slowly creep into the realm of government until one day we wake up and there are Christian militants all around us and we wonder how we got there. That's a long shot of course, but the more we think things like Jesus Camp are acceptable the more crazier it will get, let me tell you.

Pretty scary even if the poster represents only a small percentage of Americans. Thank God above they are in the minority. Keep the faith. Better times are coming. Other countries are not so crazy about him
I mentioned in another post that a lot of other countries do NOT want him to be the president. People in other countries are describing concerns as he says he is going to change the world and they like their countries just the way they are. The only countries that do want him as our president are our enemies.

getting any 'free money'. The super-rich will have to pay more of their fair share. For lots of others, it'll stay the same. For those of us who are hanging on by our toenails and making less & less money (umm.... medical transcriptionists, perhaps?), we'll get a bit of a break at tax time. But handing out free money? Obama has shown great judgment in the people who surround him. He picked a great VP choice, and his wife is impeccable as a helpmate and is a fantastic role model for the American children.

I believe Obama has an awesome political future. He sure is a bright light, and he would be someone I would seriously consider voting for.
Someone I like even better is Rep. Harold Ford from Tennessee. Every time I hear this man speak, I like him more and more and more.
I think there are lots of good candidates out there who don't fit the profiles you outlined, which I also believe to be true, and I think we're well overdue in considering those candidates because, in my opinion, what we've been offered in the last several elections -- on BOTH sides -- has been pretty pitiful. The "box" isn't working, and it's time to look outside of it.

As I posted on the other board, it is crazy that in one breath people are freaking out saying he is a Muslim, and in the next one, they are freaking out because of his stand on abortion. Being pro-choice really does not go with being a Muslim.
I like Obama, and I like his stance on choice. I really could care less if he is a Muslim. But, he belongs to a Christian church and has for over 20 years, before he had a political career.
