Here we go, contradicting.
and that article was blasted. No one wants to take accountability for ANYTHING anymore. Just blame Bush, Democrates, Republicans, and for God's sake, PALIN, etc. At least McCain has stated remarks like, "I was wrong. Sorry." Why can't we take accountability for anything? Because it shows you are weak or what?
Personality.
I have only seen this guy under 1 set of circumstances and that is being exposed so I'm don't feel qualified to describe his **personality,** however in these he clips appears to be quite different from other evangelicals with large followings. He seems quite evasive, not terribly well versed on his subject matter, and angry with anyone who questions him, never mind outright disagrees with him. His voice bothers me but that is neither here nor there. I have a great deal of empathy for his wife and children. I cannot imagine being married to a homosexual for who knows how many years and finding out this way, in a public forum. Although his wife and eldest son wrote extremely Christian responses to their respective churches and seem supportive, they have got to be outraged and hurt beyond belief. My prayers are with them all, pastor Ted included. It is part of the job description of being a human being that one will fall down, some more than others and some will fall harder than others, but we all do it. It is part of the job description of being a Christian to understand that simple fact, pray for the person if you can do nothing else and refuse to turn your back on your friend because he has fallen. If he is not remorseful or does not ask for forgiveness and mean it, well, that is another story for another day.

no comparison between Palin and Pelosi and who would be more qualified to be president. Whether you personally like Pelosi or not, she is way more qualified.

After our rather heated debate tonight, I went off in search of answers to the questions of Obama's qualifications to be POTUS, and here is what I found.
The 14th Amendment defines citizenship this way: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." But even this does not get specific enough. As usual, the Constitution provides the framework for the law, but it is the law that fills in the gaps.
Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in those gaps. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are "citizens of the United States at birth:"
US Code Title 8,1401 states the following as a qualification of a natural-born US citizen. (http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode08/usc_sec_08_00001401----000-.html). This is the only qualification that Obama actually passes to qualify to be POTUS, but one is all that is needed as all the qualifications listed are exclusive of each other.
(d) a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the birth of such person, and the other of whom is a national, but not a citizen of the United States;
Since this does not specify a particular time frame in which the US citizen parent must live in the US prior to the birth of the child, it must be assumed that any one-year residency would satisfy the requirement.

With all due respect, your actions reflective of your personality actually prevent
your political views from coming through because most of your posts are nothing more than personal attacks on posters, and that kind of behavior doesn't do one thing to further your political cause.
I can't speak for everyone but I know I visit the Conservative board, as well as this board. You and AG have indicated you don't want liberals to post on your board, so I've tried to refrain from doing that. When you make such vitriolic, hateful statements about all liberals on one board and then come here and claim to be "respectful," that's very disingenuous, and that action doesn't do anything to increase your perceived credibility or honesty.
As I've said before on these boards, I'm interested in hearing all points of view but only if they reflect a truthful statement.
If there is a case of oppression caused by an activist judge or group, that's horrible and should be fought. But when it turns out to be something that isn't at all associated with activist judges or groups, then that lessens the credibility of the person who claimed that it was.
As far as being in a military family, thank you and your family for the sacrifices you made while your family member was in the military. When it comes to the military, it makes no difference whether or not I agree with the war because I am an avid supporter of the military and their families for the sacrifices they make to help keep us safe. I think their lives are very valuable and should be placed in jeopardy only when absolutely necessary to defend the United States.
