Reading the bible is a good idea for everyone. The media is not going to tells us the truth. God did not design us to be with the same sex, it is one of the sins that was going on in Sodom and Gomorrah when he destroyed the city. We are to love everyone, but accepting sin and making it okay through the law is not.

feel they HAVE to say they would vote for Obama for fear of being called racist. If that's the only way he gets into the White House then it's not a true win. He certainly isn't going to get in based on his stellar political career or experience. Flowery words, promises that can't be kept, keep the poor people poor and dependent on the government, screw the middle class and help out your fat cat friends.

The consistent problem I see with Barrack Obama is that these sketchy associations pop up and he denies them and then when proof is made that he did know these people or associated with these people or organizations, he will then admit that he did. Like McCain said.....it isn't even the fact that he has associations with these people.....it is the fact that he consistently denies stuff and then turns around and changes his story. That is lying. He is consistently lying.
Ayers was just a guy in his neighborhood until proof came out that they were on a committee together etc. Obviously not the truth, Mr. Obama. Why not be truthful if it wasn't a big deal.
Rev. Wright never said anything like that in the 20 years he went there. Sure...I don't believe that either. As well as the fact that when Rev. Wright was first initially in hot water, Barrack Obama said that he could no sooner denounce Rev. Wright as he could family. Later Barrack denounced him to save his political career.....so another lie from BO.

Only in some Hollywood movies are people all good or all bad. I'm sure Chavez is capable some good or at least middle-of-the-road words/deeds. And I have to say that some stuff Chomsky has written pre-Iraq war was actually pretty good (now I said SOME stuff here, not ALL). It's very hard for me to give blanket condemnation of just about anyone (with the exception of serial killers, etc.).
It also occurs to me that you may possibly consistently hold up Chomsky, Churchill and now Chavez (the three C's) as examples of how the left is crazy. Well, I think most sane people know that they don't represent the vast majority of liberals. I think deep down you know that, too.

(Didn't Jesus have something very wise and definite to say about that?), insult and degrade "heathens" if their spiritual beliefs are not EXACTLY those of the mainstream right, even though they supposedly love this country which was founded on religious freedom and tolerance for ALL; cast stones every which way (Jesus also had a lot of good stuff to say about that)....yeah, they can proclaim to know it all if they do it under the "true Christian" banner. Here is a question. If you died this second and had to defend some of these insulting inflammatory statement on this board, other than the fact of saying to Him "I was being a Christian," do you think Jesus would take that as an excuse, or would he shake his head in sadness that you really didn't get "all of the story" of the New Testament, where love, tolerance, mercy, forgiveness, and HUMILITY wer preached to all???????

When everyone is equal and broke because of all the taxes Obama is going to institute....even though he is going to reduce taxes for 95% of Americans (yeah...just like the pork he refused to allow but signed anyway) and we can all frolick and skip around in the land of no more tears because Michelle Obama has great taste in clothes and Obama sure knows how to badmouth his own country while praising himself....but that makes the US arrogant and certainly not him. He isn't arrogant at all.

To begin, I live in a parallel universe from you. I have no reason whatsoever to Google Chicago politial machine. I have seen the term thrown around here and there in paranoid rants and I am also acutely aware of how Chicago politics has been depicted by the right-wingers ever since the 60s...my mom being my prime source on that one (a Goldwater republican). I do not share this world view. When I think of Chicago politics, I think in terms of ideology, but that is a different story from this.
I was simply trying to get you to explain YOUR take on it and also why it is that you find so much fault ALREADY with Rahm Emanuel. He certainly will not be Obama's only advisor. As a matter of fact, Obama is bound to surround himself with many, many advisors from both sides of the aisle who represent a very WIDE variety of viewpoints, all of which he will listen to, consider, draw conclusions, formulate plans and policy initiatives and execute what he feels best. That's my thing. I was simply trying to get you to explain yours.
