Carla, I have to answer this ridiculous post. SM

In Reply to: They are doing that at the Salvation Army - Carla
I feel justified, since you make use of our board and post over there, though I have stayed off this board. In fact, most of us have. You are absolutely full of bull. First of all, Carla, the Salvation Army IS A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION. They always have been. Second, prove to me what you are saying is true. I don't believe a word of it. Secondly, Carla, there is no connection between the Salvation Army, day care centers and the Republican Party. Your posts get more bizarre every single time.

What a ridiculous post...
"fund of knowledge is so limited and circumscribed it becomes tedious plowing through the self-righteous posts.." Talk about someone trying to "prove" her superior knowledge. Ridicule "for a lark" to make "others smile."
Here she is folks...the aspiring Ann Coulter of the liberal board.
This post is just ridiculous
you took my concern of not wanting porn viewable in public libraries to me wanting government to control my kids. Are you kidding me? There is a huge difference between me monitoring my kids at home and my kid going to the public library and seeing some pervert looking at obscene sites.
Would you be allowed to have sex in the middle of the library? Of course not. So why should porn be accessible in a public library where children might see it. I will take care of what my kids view at home, but I get so sick and tired of them being objected to obscene things out in public.
You have totally twisted this whole thing.
The most ridiculous thing about a post like this...
is that people actually think it helps their cause. lol.
Ridiculous post. Quit your whining, big babies
nm
Why don't you actually answer the post?
Mockery is great but what do you actually have to say about the point of Lurker's post? The article is right on. Would you defend Clinton to the death if he did any of those things? Of course not, you wouldn't have defended him if he single-handedly rescued 50 orphans from a burning building. So why are you so blind as to defend someone else who does those things?
your answer to the post was
vacuous. I was merely pointing that out. My post was not really to you, but for the benefit of the elite democrats on this board who enjoy seeing the silly posters in a smackdown left standing with their mouth in a big O.
The post was *so now you speak for God, gt* Her answer yup.
What is wrong with you? Time for new glasses????
Sorry, can't post an answer to your question
because I am not welcome to post here anymore
Do you have an answer for the inside post
nm
Why do you answer my post. then if you, as you state
'had nothing to do with these things...?'
I feel the need to answer on this board regarding this post. SM
You could not possibly have done an in depth research of the Protest Warriors. They are no more pro war than God is. They do believe in the right to bear arms, part of our Constitution, by the way. I know how deeply offended you must be by seeing pictures of those who own guns defying your agenda to take them away from them, despite what the Constitution says. They are pro-Israel and believe, as I do, in the Israeli state. They are Jewish. I am not. While doing your selective in-depth review of their web site, did you happen to view any of the videos. Two? Even one? I am thinking you probably didn't. Protest Warriors expose the left for what they have become. Shrill, violent apologists for terrorists. Anti-American shills for the very people who want us dead. If you viewed the videos, you would know that. But you don't want to know that I am sure. Please stop speaking about something you obviously know nothing about. I am the member you spoke about. I don't know anyone else who posts on the boards who has admitted to being a member.
I forgot to say, I will answer your post in more depth later.
I am most definitely a conservative, though. You are correct.
For Taiga...sorry I did not answer your post about CBS and Politico...
as to I should let CBS know that the Iraq link in their article went to Politico....this is from the CBS news site:
From Our Partner:
soooooo I'm thinking CBS knows that the link went to Politico...ya think?? You falsely accused me, and you were wrong. I DID get my article from CBS.
Just keeping the record straight.
I will answer you just as soon as you address my orignal post
that question repeatedly and I think you and I both know why you have been running from it all day long.
I believe you, Carla. They
have no ethics and no limits, and there's nothing they won't do to further their cause, which is to force their beliefs upon everyone and control everyone's lives.
By the way, welcome to the Liberal Board. It's great to have you here.
Carla (((hug)))
Let me be the first to offer my condolescences to you are your family. You all will definitely be in my prayers over the coming days...
Still waiting, Carla. ???
x
Welcome back, Carla.
and your famiy are doing. Again, my deepest sympathies. Take care of yourself.
Very sorry for your loss Carla.
Period.
No *buts* or *howevers* or other qualifiers.
Just very very sorry. Period.
This hurts, sorry to hear this Carla.
So sorry to hear. Your family is in my prayers as well.
Again, Carla I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings
and I know this had to be a horrendous Christmas...
However, I just don't share your views about this administration. I don't think trying to increase this country's intelligence and making the CIA and FBI better networking departments a controversial issue. When asked the question what American has the Patriot Act violated the dems are strangely quiet. They just continue to insist that Bush has done something wrong by increasing the intelligence level through wiretaps that every other American president was okayed to do.
I just don't understand congressmen and women standing up there having a hissy over Bush wire taps knowing, KNOWING, that the 4th plane on 9/11 was bound for an in session capital building. To me the Dems are BLINDED by partisan politcs. It frankly borders on sociopathic..
Bush has done nothing to to hurt Americans but only to protect them. Frankly, I'm glad he's got the guts to do what it takes to keep America safe. I don't know what *9/11 perps* you are talking about, but I don't think anyone has gone free. I really don't know why in the heck you care about terrorists rotting in jail in the first place. They are not American citizens and have none of the rights an American has. If the military was allowed to do what it was supposed to do and try them they would be dispensed with, but throwing them in the American legal system only condemed them to the piss poor, liberally manged American judicial system---who would much rather have a T.V. celebrity trial with all the trimmings than actually get down to work to putting some of the psychos and thugs behind bars or better yet....executing some the slime who prey on children and the innocent.
While I will never convince you to support this president you need to see things for what they really are. What is going to take for some of you to see that the president is not the problem but terrorism and partisan politics is? I guess it may take a much broader hit than 9/11. I pray it doesn't happen, but if you and the dems don't wake up and smell the coffee I'm afraid I could happen again.
Just ignore them, Carla. They wouldn't be trashing
Pat Tillman's mother if his mother was a Bush worshipper. I think what they're saying is beyond ignorant.
The TRUTH of the matter is that Pat Tillman joined the Army in June of 2002 because he was so moved by the terror attack of 9/11 that he wanted to *get* Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan. That was almost a year before the Iraq invasion when Chickenhawk Bush sent our kids to die for his fake war based on lies of WMD. Obviously Tillman saw through all Bush's crap, just like most Americans today see through it.
Believe Tillman's mother? You bet! I'd believe her any day of the week over lying Bush or his robotic groupies that troll this board. No contest!
Was not aware of Carla's loss, but your response was completely uncalled for
your response about dead soliders is not only wrong but completely, completely uncalled for.
My post was a direct answer to the direct post...
of Democrat. It was not a blank open-ended statement. And dial it back a notch...it is certainly your right to protest anything any time you want to. Just like it is my right to protest you protesting while men and women are still in harm's way, because you are in effect aiding the enemy. Apparently the Viet Nam experience taught you nothing. Americans protesting in the streets heartened the enemy and when they were about to surrender decided not to, based a lot upon what was happening in the American streets. I believe that the protesting in that war prolonged the war and cost more American lives. Hanoi Jane should have been tried for treason. That being said...lessons were not learned and the protestors are doing the exact same thing now. Exercising the very right bought for them by shedding of American military blood. And I still say common courtesy should keep people out of the streets and off the TV until the military are home safe. But it just proves the same thing to me over and over...the selfISHhness of the protestors vs. the selfLESSness of the military. They continue to put it all on the line for your right to protest anything you want to protest...it is up to YOU to decide where and when that is appropriate, and it is up to you to take the heat for same. It is up to me and others like me (in my opinion) to apply that heat. Go ahead and do whatever your conscience or lack thereof moves you to do. But do not expect those of a different mind not to protest the protest.
why do you answer so stupidly, the right answer
if you had any brains, would have been......
'well, she made a mistake.'
But telling me that I need a job, is so stupid, yes, stupid AND a very weak point.
Ridiculous. sm
Hey, aren't you guys worried about Rove anymore?
Ridiculous...I think not
This is not the military they are talking about. This is everyday people who have skills that can be used to help in the nation-building, desk jobs, PR jobs, all that sort of thing. An over-50 overweight person most certainly could do these things, clerical, educational. In my neighborhood a 52-year-old national guard guy got called up for MILITARY duty so why would they not expect 50-somethings to lend whatever their professional abilities might be to lend a hand in desk job sort of work.
Am I going???? Are you nuts???
Of course not. I have fought against our occupation of Iraq from 2002 to this present day. I did not vote for Bush. I am just saying those of you that did, and those of you who just pretend everything is okay, this is your chance to show your true colors. I mean, after all, you are with the president or you're not (so he says).
We are not rebuilding anything in Iraq. They are on the verge of civil war. They can't put a constitution together and who in their right minds would expect them to be able to. You don't go from years of a monarchy to democracy overnight...and they are ending up with an Islamic government, sort of like...The Taliban!
Two simple questions.
What did my ______ die?
Are the Bush supporters, those who voted for him, are you going to join the civilian corps to support the cause you believe in?
That is ridiculous
Wow, that is a very scientific method, chosing who to vote or not to vote for because of their middle name. Wow. I may chose my next vote based on who is wearing my favorite color.
This is all so ridiculous, seriously.
Do you really think that the only reason Obama has said he feels family is off limits is to help his campaign? Do any of you really honestly think that? If so, then I do have pity for you to live in such a jaded world. He has children too and I can pretty much bet that he wouldn't want them attacked like that either.
It doesn't matter to me at all that SP daughter is pregnant and a teenager, everone makes mistakes. Period. It is not SP's fault this happened. No matter what you do or what you say when a child reaches a certain age they are going to make their own decisions and you cannot be there 24 hours a day.
I just have one question. Would any of you, as parents, put your child through this? Think hard and do some searching here. Don't just think about your political sides, because it doesn't matter if you are Ind., Rep, or Dem. If your daughter was 17 and pregnant, would you expose her to the public scrutiny? This is where my real problem with the whole thing is. It is not right that her daughter is going through this in the media, it should be private but we all know how the media, in all its forms, is today. SP didn't have to announce the pregnancy but it would have come out within the next few weeks or so regardless, she did the right thing by doing it in her words though and I am proud of that. But again, would you put your child through this. It is not bad enough that her daughter would have to worry about what people are going to say at school and in her home area, but now she has the world looking at her, talking about this - good or bad. Would you really put your child through that?
My question has nothing to do with birth control, abortion, etc. It is just a question, for me, of SP's judgment here. Would you put your child through all of this and for what? Your career or political aspiration?
My answer is no, I would not. Nothing is more important to me than my children, I'm sorry not even the VP job of this country. I don't care if your child says, "Mom, do it, I'll be okay." I would not and could put her through that.
Again, I am not saying SP is a bad mother and am not bashing her, I'm just saying IMO she used very poor judgment when she agreed to be the VP candidate. I would be saying this regardless of what party affiliation she has.
okay, this is ridiculous already
doesn't anybody have a shred of common decency left? Where the heck are you all coming up with this utter crap?
Isn't it ridiculous?
It is so ridiculous ... all the BS that flies around the web? And even more ridiculous that so many people believe it all. What the #^@%?!!
The whole flag pin thing is so juvenile and superficial too. Honestly, I don't see how politicians cannot view our citizens as a bunch of nitwits!
It's ridiculous and
childish and gets in the way of what the process is SUPPOSED to be!
There would be nothing wrong with a neutral panel analyzing their plans to the degree that they can to see if they work out numerically (as they always say the other's won't)
And to provide understanding into the issues voted on (since they are never about one thing but have a other crap slapped in with a main issue). Mainstream America would have a more realistic picture of who they are voting for.
Or perhaps they should just switch from mud slinging to Jello wrestling!
This guy is just ridiculous
So far he has lied about everything, talks about running for congress, and then stands up the one guy at a rally that gave him all the publicity (McCain).
What you are saying is just ridiculous...nm

Ridiculous!
Below is copied directly from the link. It doesn't talk about punishment of any kind for those who don't wish to participate. It DOES talk about rewards, though, for those who do wish to participate. It offers a choice. You don't have to participate in it if you're rich and can afford to send your kids to college, but why do you want to deny those who can't the opportunity to do so?
You're filling this board with fiction and calling it truth. THIS is the TRUE message of the link:
"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free."
That is ridiculous.
If anything, his administration will return the rights that have been lost these last 8 years.
Ridiculous.
Every single word you utter. Do you actually know any lefties? You cannot begin to imagine how excited and energized the base is despite the pubs bets efforts to throw out their wet blankets. The progressives have always served the party as vigilent critical watchdogs. It is a necessary evil in ANY political party...the ability to be introspective, even self-deprecating at times...a lesson the pubs obviously have not yet learned the value of.
Oh, come on! This is ridiculous. You have gone off
nm
Ridiculous!
If Burris had not been appointed to fill Obama's senate seat, another Democrat would have been appointed, and the vote would have been exactly the same. So much for your silly conspiracy theory.
That is ridiculous.
My entire life has been devoted to midwifery and GYN/NICU/OB nursing, and you think that because I don't want to participate in abortions I should find another line of work? I've taken care of plenty of RESULTS of abortions gone wrong, in the form of babies who decided to take a breath after they were expelled or manually removed from their mothers' wombs. Does that count?
No it is not ridiculous!
You knew exactly what your job entailed when you signed up for it. If you are not willing to perform the requirements of your job, you should find another line of work.
Ridiculous
If you don't want your families torn apart, then make sure you are LEGAL!!!
I'm sorry but this is just getting ridiculous. I have no problem with immigrants, as long as they are here legally, following our laws, and helping to pay taxes.
The snowball just keeps rolling...
Tell Me About it! It's ridiculous...and to think,
just last month, Rendel was crying the blues about not having enough $$ to keep the state running, so took all this bailout money. He is doing a double duty bailout by following what O is doing and Rendel duplicates O's programs. He should be run out on a rail and thank heavens, this is his last term.
Tea Party in Harrisburg on April 15.
Ridiculous!!!
That's ridiculous
I bet you're behind Obama 100%, but he claims to be a Christian, so do you consider him to be a "glassy eyed born again zombie"?
I love how everyone deserves tolerance except for Christians.
TS: How ridiculous is this!: You say in
at the end of your post:...
I won't answer your absurd accusations again and 'return the other readers to the program previously in progress.'
Are we on TV and you are an anchor man?
This is ridiculous
Once again the actions of a few are being attributed to many. I am a Christian and I am not forcing my beliefs on anyone. I have never gathered to decide who the next victim is and I am not on a crusade to save anyone nor am I on a mission to take over the country and make everyone a Christian. You have said the gays and lesbians want to be left alone and live their lives. Guess what? So do Christians. I just want to live my life, worship as I choose and be respected for who and what I am as I respect others for who and what they are. True Christians love and respect their fellow man. If one does not do so, then they are not truly Christian people. I have said this before and will say it again, calling oneself a Christian does not make it so.
Ridiculous.
He's only been in office since January. You are totally unrealistic. He couldn't have just sat idly by and done nothing - that's just silly!
People said the same things about FDR back in his day, yet he turned out to be the best thing that ever happend for this country.
Get over your prejudices and give the man a chance.
Sorry, but that's just ridiculous!
I grew up listening to Elton John, George Michael, The Village People, and probably many more gay artists and am a very heterosexual female.
While I was disappointed to find out George Michael was gay (only becuase it ruined all of my fantasies), I was never forbidden to listen to his music.
Don't limit your daughter's music choices based on the sexual preference of the artist. Would you forbid her to read certain books if you found out the author was gay? It just has nothing to do with the content of music or literature.
