I saw Brad Pitt on 60 minutes a few weeks ago talking about his efforts to rebuild the Lower 9th ward. I always thought he was just a pretty face, but I had a lot more respect for him after seeing that special.

Well, he did put a million of his own money toward this effort. At least, he is doing something. Just owning a million dollar home that he is paying taxes on is contributing to the city. I don't think he has to be a martyr to help out, and I don't begrudge him living in a nice house, he earned the money to buy that house. I like to acknowledge the positive of people contributing and don't complain that they are not doing enough. JMO
Brad Pitt and Lower 9th ward.
If he is so worried about the people of the 9th ward, why doesn't he build his house down among the 9th ward people and live down there with them instead of living in a million dollar or however much it costs house? Have you seen pics of their house?? Makes mine look like a tarpaper shack. And I live in Michigan. He should put his money where his mouth is, not on Nob Hill, but actually in the streets of the 9th ward. JMO.
