You can also use PowerPoint to create a slide show (presentation) and then use a product like the one from Acoolsoft (see link below) to convert it into various kinds of media files. There are other tools available to do this also. Google "convert ppt to video" or something similar to find these.
If you do it this way, you would naturally add the photos, captions and audio to your PowerPoint slides. There is a means of adding the audio in such a way that it carries over from slide to slide (instead of stopping and starting with each slide).
