THose who said there was a "deal in principle" was struck with a few senators in committee only...the House had no input. They had no deal. McCain was right. If they had taken the plan as it was to the house, it would not have passed, and days would have been lost in this process. McCain went to Washington, asked the President to call for all the leaders, including the House, to be there, and Obama to be there. THEN Obama showed up. THAT is when the House was finally able to say, hey wait...we don't like this the way it is. I am personally glad he went. And from what I hear that has been put on the table since McCain went up there sounds really good to me. I will withhold any more comment until I hear more about what happens. What I DO think is I am glad someone was up there looking out for US.
