Though I don't agree with the murder of this man and I certainly don't agree with him murdering unborn babies by the thousands, I can't help but wonder how much "suffering" his wife or children went through for decades knowing her husband murdered babies while they "suffered" violent deaths, all the while reaping the benefits of his profession with her lifestyle. A lot of questions come to my mind about "suffering" in this case....

Personally, lately....I've been wanting to smack....sm
my husband up the side of the head.
He's been saying for weeks that now's the time to buy, and that if we had extra money in our accounts, he'd do it....just this morning, he said he's buy tons of Citigroup, GM, and Ford, as if you do, and hold onto it long enough, you could make a killing.
Needless to say, though....we don't have enough to do this at the moment....he refuses to buy on margin, so we'll just sit here and watch the stock markets.
Now IS the time to buy, though, that's very, very true......

Folks, we may not even need to worry about taxes and abortion and gay marriages and high winter heating bills. We may need to turn our attention to wars and pestilance and plagues instead. I STRONGLY urge everyone that, if you do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you make this your first order of business. Flame me if you want, but all the "promises" Obama has made will pale in comparison to what is coming if you are left behind.
I'd like to see demonstrated ability to change
I really don't think much will change, no matter who the POTUS, when I see the way people treat each other with such utter lack of disrespect as human beings. And I mean this all over, not just in the political arena or here on this board. First major snag and even the ever-so-highly regarded Barack will be to blame and butt of all jokes just like every other president.
But we are losing our ability to choose every day.
Can't have a fast food place in low income neighborhoods in California anymore because someone has decided because people have low incomes, they obviously can't make their own choices.
Can't have trans fat because someone has decided we can't decide for ourselves what those are.
Businessowners can no longer decide to allow smoking in their bars where majority of patrons are smokers in many places because someone else has decided it's for the greater good if they don't.
I could go on. It isn't Democrat or Republican, it's WE THE PEOPLE allowing these things to happen, allowing ourselves to be duped by studies, doctors, and scientists who think they know what is best for everyone and that we aren't capable of making choices on our own. If we don't stop it in its tracks, it won't matter which party or who is in office. It will continue to spin out of control until we no longer have the choices of which you speak! But in order to make any difference, we have to be united and stop turning on each other.

Spent most of my adult life in Texas but never lost my Arkie accent. We go to NE OK all the time and they don't sound any different than I do.......now my husband was born and raised in Chicago but he's lost some of that accent. LOL He loves pinto beans, CFS and mashed taters and white gravy. He better, I cook it.

They can't come up with a single coherent sentence that describes John McCain's plan to fix the economy because they are so hung up on trashing Obama. ACORN is not an economic issue. Let me give you a clue. The subject of the economy would include such notions as the free falling stock market crash, the mortgage lending crisis, the bail out plan, record-high unemployment, job losses, job security, stagnant wages, outsourcing, free trade agreement and its impact on the US economy, the cost of gas, the cost of food, the out-of-control cost of health care, out-of-reach medical insurance coverage, the scarcity of affordable housing, the national debt, the devaluation of the US dollar, bank consolidation, deregulation....just to name a few. Can any of you pubs out there articlate for the rest of us how John McCain's policies on these issues differ from W's? It's a simple question. What is your candidate's policy on the economy? Anyone? Obama's policy has been laid out already today...all 40 points of it...on this board. We are now looking for the MCCAIN economic policy and how it will address these economic elements. Do I make myself clear? What part of defend your candidate do you not get?

Did a gay/lesbian person EVER push their lifestyle on you? If so, they were simply classless people. I have never had that happen with couples (2 separate people tried to hit on me, same sex, but, they erroneously thought I was of the same ilk). What people do in their bedroom is their own business. I was raised in a small town, my family was well acquainted with several gay couples. One of the ladies was a very powerful deputy sheriff who commanded respect and who also owned half the town. She was one of the most intelligent, fascinating people I have ever met. I was raised to look at it as a non-issue. It didn't change who those people were. We loved them no matter what.

I ordered a pizza and when the delivery guy comes to the door I see he is an older guy. With a heavy accent he pointed to my yard sign and said "That is right, no Obama, yes McCain."
