And the part that would apply to issues other than abortion? (sm)

You might as well just go ahead and do away with the hippocratic oath.

You have real issues and I've never killed an abortion doctor
nor have I condoned the very few that have. We are not all murderers. I'm sorry that something has has happened in your life to make you so against God, but demonizing us will not make your issues go away. We are not trying to be superior, but if you want religion to stay out of schools then all religion and theories (which liberalism is full of) needs to stay out too. If you want it vanilla and equal well then it works both ways.
What part of we got other issues do you
nm
Chlidren. What part of "this is about the issues"
Pubs have raised the issue of character (along with lipstick) as a party platform. You really wanna go there? OK. We did this yesterday, but can do it again today. What does it say about a candidate's character when he:
1. Dumps his crippled wife and mother of his children to have affair with wealthy heiress, then turns around to apply for marriage license before his divorce is final.
2. Calls wife C-word.
3. While speaking at a biker's rally, volunteers his wife as a contestant in the "Miss Buffalo Chips" topless modeling contest, including it's legendary banana competition.
4. Tries to blame his wife for the Keating 5 scandal when it becomes public.
5. Humiliates a young pub volunteer who set up his podium at a rally.
6. Jokes about ape rape and killing off Iranians with cigarettes and "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb."
7. Described Arizona's elderly as "seizure world."
8. Throws temper tantrums, punctuated with the casual use of the F-word.
9. Calls fellow senators Aholes and sh-heads.
10. Ignites a culture war to get elected.
11. Questions the patriotism of his opponent and fails to renounce his supporters who question his faith, endlessly insinuate he lies about it and portray his wife as a militant with hidden agendas to stage a socialist/Black Power takeover of the country.
12. Embraces endorsement from a pastor who disparages Catholics, women, African Americans, Muslims and LGBT Americans, believes that Hurricane Katrina was punishment from God because "New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God and they were recipients of the judgment of God," announced a "slave sale" at the church to raise funds and believe that "the coming nuclear showdown with Iran is a certainty,"
13. Overlooks the Bush-Rove campaign strategy of unleashing a landslide of racist attacks on him, including calling his own daughter who they characterized as an illegitimate half-black love child, turns around in 2004 to campaign for W's second term, throughout it all supported 9 out of 10 of his disastrous policies that has brought the nation to it knees and THEN embraced Rove as senior campaign adviser in 2008.
14. Stood silently by while fellow war hero/veteran John Kerry was swift-boated without mercy.
Before any rebuttal ensues that would seek to deny, dodge and deflect, keep in mind that character assassination has been a benchmark of JM's campaign and of his supporters, so no whining allowed. Finally, this is legitimate inquiry, given that 90% is striving so diligently not to be 90% and has hawked character as his main qualification for presidential leadership.
My belief? "late-term abortion" or partial-birth abortion" = infanticide, it is sickening
So in these cases I do think, as in most things, there is no ABSOLUTE, but a judicious guideline for this should be investigated and established by the medical community, as far as survival/outcome, but then we must be willing to prosecute mothers and doctors who go outside the guidelines...with established jail terms....and more money to house these "criminals" for years. Why not let God by the ultimate judge, He has the wisdom and the power, and eternity without God is worse than anything we as humans can mandate, don't you think?
meant is against abortion...didn't mean supports abortion (NM)
Issues people, issues. I need issues
I'm not seeing any discussion about issues. Can we stick to the issues. Jeeze - I want to hear good and bad about both candidates but with facts to back whatever is being said.
P-L-E-A-S-E.....I want issues. How can I make any kind of determinatons about who I'm going to vote for if I don't hear about the issues. Reading some of this I'm thinking I'd get more truth if I read the National Enquirer.
But how could that ever apply to MT, especially?
Almost everyone here is in the predicament of working harder and harder for less and less pay. There are only 24 hours in a day, and at least a couple of them have to be spent sleeping. Then what? Many people already working 2-3 jobs, because 1 job no longer pays the bills.
There is nothing that says you get to apply
the extra tax credit and use it toward your total tax bill. In your example where you come out ahead $3600, you do not get to apply that $3600 toward your taxes nor will you get a refund of that money.
No he did not apply for a job with the FBI.
However, if he were to apply, he would be turned down. Every person trying to get a position with the FBI undergoes a background check. Obama would not pass this background check.
They can APPLY -----
..."There is no legal prohibition against illegal immigrants owning homes," (Steven Camarota, director of research at the Center for Immigration Studies) said, "and in most cases mortgage lenders will accept a taxpayer ID or a Matricula Consular card issued by a Mexican Consulate office as identification to illegal immigrants from Mexico."
Chad Buchanan, a manager at SaveMyHomeUSA - a group cooperating with the Obama administration that assists homeowners facing foreclosure - told WND illegal immigrants who own a home "could certainly apply under our program."
Where do I apply?
I have been in the MT field for 15 years - I have never met such hateful, backstabbing women in all my life (the last hospital I worked in was the WORST). I've worked inhouse and at home. I was a supervisor - in a hospital and at home. Even senior management were unbelievable. Cherry picking, cheating on lines, you name it, I've seen it. I don't believe this is the only field you will find this type of behavior........I was happiest when working with all men in another field. and NEVER have I seen an MT environment that encouraged its workers......it was all go, go, go, go, faster, faster, faster. I always treated my staff with fairness and respect and always went the extra mile for them. I had great staff and lousy staff. It has taken me awhile, but, I have to admit - I hate the MT field.
It may apply to your religion, but
it doesn't apply to the Constitution.
Are you suggesting that your religion should be the one that rules and that everyone else's spiritual/religious beliefs shouldn't count?
For example, I know some people who don't look at abortion as severely as you do because they believe that life doesn't end, that we merely pass on from one life to another, and that there really isn't any such thing as spiritual death, and that your body is just the "box" you come in but spirit lives on forever and continues to live in different "entities."
I know some people who don't believe in religion at all.
I know some religious people who believe that God gave us free will and technology to help us survive as best we can.
Not everyone is FORCED to believe the exact same religious beliefs that you do. But the one document we all have in common and to which are are all bound is the Constitution.
I respect you enough as a person to respect and defend your personal religious beliefs.
Please return the favor.
Neocons need not apply
Will you argumentative conservatives please get off this board, for pete sake!
they don't even let you apply at McDonald's
how in the world can we make this man our next commander in chief???
Well, if he didn't apply just where
do you get your emphatic information? I would certainly hope a background check would consist of FACTS, not political mumbo jumbo.
So how does it apply to Obama?
you might want to check out the "who put faith in what government post." Not interested in having to repeat myself.
Does this mean it's OK for us all to apply for benefits now?
nm
That would certainly apply to the entire MTStars
(Thumbs up.)
Well please don't apply one person's attitude to everyone - sm
I for one am very sad that his Grandmother passed away, particularly at this time in his life.

How is it possible that the Governor’s soon to be son-in-law is working as an apprentice on the North Slope?
The Governor, in trying to dispel rumors the father of her grandchild is a high school drop out, released this statement this week, “Levi is continuing his online high school work in addition to working as an electrical apprentice on the North Slope."
But federal regulations require any members of apprentice programs, union or otherwise, first obtain a high school diploma, something the Governor’s soon to be son-in-law, Levi Johnston does not have. Some apprentice programs even require the completion of high school level Algebra or the post secondary equivalent.
So how is it that the Governor’s soon to be son-in-law is working in an apprentice program? Is this another case of the Governor believing the law doesn’t apply to her?
Bo Underwood, who heads up ASRC’s electrical apprentice program, confirmed Johnston is indeed enrolled as an apprentice. Underwood claimed not to know whether a high school diploma is needed to be an ASRC apprentice and said he would check on it. But federal regulations clearly state a high school diploma is needed before entering an apprentice program. How is it the man who runs the program does not know that?
Underwood also claimed not to know whether there is a waiting list for the ASRC apprentice program he runs. Imagine that.
Rebecca Logan, executive director of Associated Builders and Contractors, an organization that also has an electrical workers apprentice program, says waiting lists almost always accompany apprenticeship programs. Her organization’s apprentice program has a waiting list of at least 100 people.
Bo Underwood promised to get back with me on how the Governor’s soon to be son-in-law got into the apprentice program.
The Alaska Standard has a call into the Governor’s office as well. We’ll let you know when we hear back from them on this issue.

How nice for you, but how does this apply to the political topic.....sm
Can you think outside of your own little special world? There are folk out here, like me, and so many others here, who are honestly trying to deal with U.S. economy, world economy, saving our country from financial disaster....wow, get your head out of your darling fortunate a$$, get off your hown head trip, stop trying to trump people, becaue you are not, and try to deal with the issues of others in this country.
Post where this link is. Doesn't apply anymore, don't think...sm
If it does, post the link to the rule
You and she should apply to serve on Michelle Bachmann's McCarthyesque
so you can investigate dems in the Congress and Senate for unpatriotic subversion and help her define precisely what means to be and not to be an American and come up with some sort of homogenous morality that we can all follow. You two could be in charge of decency and common sense department.
only part saved was the ignorant part
You can read the whole article. This quote was saved to show what she said that was so stupid.
Issues
Certainly I agree the issues you mention must, must, MUST have our attention. However, what we are doing this year is chosing a leader. In my most humble opinion it is of the utmost importance to know what kind of person we are chosing to lead us. We absolutely must look beyond what the politicians say; we must study their character and with whom they associate. As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together.
As a life long Democrat, I am totally against Obama. There are a number of reasons, not the least of which is his choice of pastors. I believe his chosen church is a radical, devisive, racist group. If Pastor What's His name isn't enough; what about the priest who delivered the sermon ridiculing Hillary in that same church? By no means am I a supporter of Hillary Clinton but that show was disgusting. Neither can I support John McCain. I have changed my registration from Democrat to Independent because neither mainstream political party represents my values. My voice will be heard in the election but I will do a write-in for Lou Dobbs. Would he make a good or great leader? I don't know. He talks the talk but would he walk the walk? The only thing any of us can do is to vote and vote our convictions......and pray.
you have issues
x
Whether or not I have issues....
doesn't change the fact that they both did the same thing and one is being banned from speaking while the other is allowed to speak. Sounds like one of them smelly ole double standards to me.
Why? What does this have to do with issues
I read the first two paragraphs and then that was it. Do I need to keep reading? Is there something in the rest of this post that will tell me how Barack has voted in the past or how McCain has voted in the past? Will this post tell me how they will fix the health care system, win the war and bring the troops home, fix the housing economy and the newest FM/FM crisis? And all the other matters that affect my life every single day.
Your going on and on and on about a number and what kind of cars someone has. We all know that Cindy McCain is very wealthy and if she wants to own 50 or 100 cars I don't care. I also don't care how many pairs of shoes or purses she owns. If you are trying to say she is not a frugal person I'm sure we could pull up other issues like how the Obama's send their daughter to a $10,000 camp. We can talk about Todd & Sarah Palin eloping to save the cost of a wedding for her parents (now that's what I call smart money thinking). But to go on and on about what kind of cars and how many Cindy McCain owns, and personally I don't think very many people care what they buy their daughter or if her daughter bought the car herself. That is unless your a liberal making a lame attempt at trying to prove something, but I don't think many people care about their daughters car or what Cindy has. She's wealthy, her dad worked hard to give his family what they have, and Cindy has a degree in education has worked hard her whole life as a nurse and teacher among other things. If she wants to have more than a couple cars who cares.
You hit on some key issues........... sm
SS age eligibility has already been raised. I cannot draw full benefits until I am 67 years and some few months of age. I have to wonder if this will be raised further still. Will I still be clacking at the keyboard at 70 or even 80 years old? Granted, folks are living to an older age in general, but look at the medical condition of a lot of Baby Boomers. I see more 40-year-olds and 50-year-olds with serious health problems such as coronary artery disease and cancer which I attribute to unhealthy lifestyles as well as the mystery meat we buy at the supermarket. Who knows what that chicken was injected with to achieve such full and meaty breasts? All of which leads me to your next point......
Healthcare for those of Medicare age will very likely be rationed as you illustrated. Need a hip replacement? Sorry! Buy a wheelchair. Need a bypass? Forgedaboudit! Of course, this could possibly help with the SS issue as a younger and younger age group that needs lifesaving surgery dies off, leaving SS benefits for the survivors. Sounds like some kind of twisted reality show but I can see it happening. Sure makes my Golden Years something to look forward to............ NOT!
I think that there would be a lot of issues...sm
around the world that Jesus would be interested in, not just gay marriage and abortion, and he would not exclude the good intentions of someone trying to bring the world together in peace.
I'm all for the issues....BUT
when I see a handful of racist on this board who I know full well voted for Obama just because he is a black man, it bears pointing out the facts they just aren't aware of. And that is very obvious. They scream republicans and racists in the same rant, but never stop to think all their name calling just points out the facts that they ARE racists..... but what they don't know is Martin Luther King was a REPUBLICAN (which I guarantee you they don't know...their elders have failed to tell them this or didn't know it themselves) and when enlightened, they shut their traps tight! This is what they do when they really have nothing intelligent to add to conversation and I have realized know absoutely NOTHING about the issues at hand as well.
Notice how quickly the ranting stopped when a HUGE fact was pointed out to them.
So, to be perfectly honest, those would not be the people to discuss issues with, because they really cannot get past color and ANYTHING said against Obama becomes a race thing....
sick to death of that!
Abortion is for men. nm
This isn't abortion!
Read it again: the child is already out of the womb and breathing! the child is BORN. Not a fetus.
Your telling me that a child that is born from a botched abortion should be left to die?
That is what this bill is about. If a child is born after an abortion attempt, that it should be treated as a US citizen with all rights of a citizen given, including the right to lifesaving medical care. You don't think that's fair?
Abortion
Haven't you guys who are going on about this given any thought that every time politicians start speaking of abortion, gay marriage, etc., it is a smoke screen. They know how to push our buttons, but then they are always hiding something else. The know if they keep our minds on these types of issues, we won't be paying attention to other under-handed things that are going on.
This is not about abortion. It is about a man who...
voted AGAINST giving medical care infants who survive abortion, who are living and breathing outside the mother and unattached even by the umbilical cord. That is horrific, and frankly I don't feel real good about someone who wants to fight for that TO happen, instead of AGAINST it happening. If he can't muster up enough sympathy for poor children dying alone in a dirty clothes closet, how could I possibly believe he cares about the "middle class?"
Talk about a STRETCH.
abortion
I think that it is sad that people do not believe abortion is murder. I am pregnant by surprise and had an ultrasound at 12 weeks (when many abortions are performed) and was able to see my baby move around and his hands and feet. If that is not a baby, heaven help us all. Having said that, I am not sure that abortion should be illegal. In my heart, I know that it is wrong, but in my head, I also know that it will continue to happen in an unsafe manner if it were to become illegal. However, perhaps not so prevalently, so this is a toughie for me, but I cannot believe that God condones it.
ABORTION
who KNOWS there are other alternatives out there? Come on people!! We all type this stuff...There are sooooo many different kinds of birth control out there. Why wait and kill a baby? Bottom line, that's what abortion is. I just cannot believe the mentality of some of you people. I may not have all the fancy words some of you use but I think this is just common sense. I don't even know that I think a woman should have her "choice" taken away but I do think abortion should not be considered birth control. If you don't want to have a baby and CHOOSE abortion, and it happens again and again, how about an old fashioned TUBAL LIGATION? All this talk truly makes me ill to my stomach.
I'm curious how many of you out there are willing to fess up about an abortion and sharing your feelings about your "choice." My sister had a "choice" to make years ago and she has nightmares about it still. The guilt she has felt is unreal. Maybe some of you do live with yourselves and I honestly think any woman who has made this "choice" and can live with herself without any sort of guilt EVER, is just a very hard person.
Abortion
I agree
you won't go into abortion because........ sm
somewhere, deep inside, you know it is murder...a sin in God's eyes just as much as adultery.
The issue is not about choice (and I have other views on that word as well) but about the taking of innocent lives who have no voice to speak for themselves. As far as welfare....it's coming already and it won't be me who pays, unless that top income bracket keeps spiraling downward into the low 5-figure numbers which is not an impossibility.
On abortion
Solomon's wisdom still at work today..... A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:
'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 yr. old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together.'
So the doctor said: 'Ok, and what do you want me to do?'
She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.'
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.' She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.'
The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!' 'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be ok with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.' The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point. He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb. The crime is the same! Oh if our current judicial system could only understand this fact.
Abortion..............s/m
You can talk your heart out, I was, am and will always be pro-abortion.
Till to the end of the 3rd month of pregnancy it is the mother who has the right to end the pregnancy.
Who is going to help me in all aspects if I, as the mother, know that I will most probably not be able to care and provide for this child? Not for all mothers is the option of adoption, this means GIVING AWAY one's flesh and blood to STRANGERS an acceptable option.
I am against partial birth abortion.
Really, no one is pro-abortion......
The term is pro-choice and there are a lot of Americans who are pro-choice. If you think they are going to overturn Roe vs Wade to satisfy less than half the population - you will be disappointed. This is just a political joust to get people arguing - with no end in sight. Give it up. They thought they'd win another election with this tired, worn out "issue" - and they were wrong.
And this is different from abortion... How? sm
Abortion is the ending of a life, plain and simple. Yet people get all up in arms when their "right to choose" is taken away from them.
I am not advocating this woman's choice in the least. I personally think she should be prosecuted for what she has done, just as I believe women who have abortions and the doctors who perform them should be prosecuted. There is no difference.
You have some serious anger issues
Ann Coulter, has issues. nm

real issues
such as celebrity, Ayers, etc.??
