Federal disaster relief has arrived within hours at every other national catastrophe as far back as 1912. All they had then was wagons and horses and a lot of strong backs - and they did far better than Bush and his cohorts with all their (our) money and modern machinery. You can promote those programs, but in this culture, sex-saturated media, desensitization to the point of sex is just an expression and you don't even have to like each other, multiple partners, the whole 9 yards. No program is going to work at this point. Birth control information is out there. How, in this culture, could you even say abstinence with a straight face? Doesn't mean I don't think it should be mentioned, because if it causes 1 or 2 kids not to engage in premarital sex, much better. Most social programs are failed policies...and a huge waste and drain on the government. That is one thing I like about both candidates...they say they will get rid of the social programs that don't work. Trouble is...they never identify which programs. lol.

Depends on what part of California - sm
it's like 2 states sometimes. The central portion of the state: Central Valley in the north, Orange County in the south, chock full of narrow-minded midwest transplants, many of whom are evangelical christians. The coast and mountains have more progressive and free-thinking people. (Also the more highly-educated, as a rule). You couldnt pay me to live anywhere but on the Calif. coast.

I was not jumping on anyone. I simply said that those who do not believe in Jesus would go to h*ll. That you do not get to h*ll by just being good. How is that being angry? And as far as I knew, not wanting someone to go to h*ll because of their lack of belief, is the strongest form of love that you can show anyone. These days, every one including a lot of Christians are so concerned about being politically correct and not offending anyone. I mean come ON. This behavior and lack of drive has gotten prayer taken out of schools and God taken out of our country.
Just because a Christian says hey, if you are not saved, you arent going to heaven doesnt mean that they are speaking out of anger or that they are sinning. It means they are speaking THE TRUTH. There is no more time for sugar coating things. This is reality and for every person that you gloss over the scripture to, it is on your head before God. So, I will handle things the way that I feel God leads me, and leave the judgment of my actions up to you.

Guess you don't understand that what happens in the U.S., in some areas, determines what happens outside the U.S. Your stance on the president doesn't need to be accountable to the citizens who pay his salary, is truly scary. Whether reported on Fox, or any other news station, we have no idea what is going on behind closed doors. O is making decisions that are going to put this country in great jeopardy.
