....still protesting too much (sm)
I'm protesting all of them
I just realized we do have another choice besides McCain and Obama - its called Nobody. I see I didn't get many responses to my last message (I guess not much to argue about with people now that HRC is not in the running). Anyway...I have come to realize this. First and most important (to me at least) is that I do have a choice and I don't have to choose between Obama or McCain and I won't. It's called No vote. Second, I believe that Americans do not pick the next president. When it is clear that Gore actually won (which I am horrified to hear as I could not stand him and was dreading the idea of him as president). He (IMO) is as worthless as Clinton was and I did not want a third Clinton term, so was happy when he lost. But then to find out he actually won, but the "higher powers" had already selected who they wanted in. So...therefore why should I vote when my vote actually does not make a difference. Therefore I've solved my problem of voting for the lesser of the two evils. Mine will be no vote and at least my conscious will sleep better. Whoever gets elected will be elected by the "richest of the US, the lobbyists, the elite, and the corporations". So that is my humble oppinion about all this nonsense.
The protesting will not stop...so yes...sm
If the war is something they believe strongly in then they will have to serve and ignore the protestors. If they are stuck on contract, they will have to serve and pray that the protesting works in their favor.
There is a divide in this country and both sides deserve to be heard.
What if the protesting is getting them killed. sm
Like it did in Vietnam?
Again with the protesting too much. No one cares....
and it really doesn't matter to anyone other than you, I don't think. I certainly don't care. Did not mean to stir the hornet's nest by calling you by an old moniker. It's not like anyone who has been coming to the board for awhile doesn't know that anyway. And again...it doesn't matter, does it?
And if you are not angry, you are the angriest-sounding nonangry person I have come across in awhile.
:-)
What?! We should be protesting ACORN
nm
So you think protesting AGAINST more taxes
xx
So why aren't you protesting...(sm)
cap and trade instead of taxes? It sounds to me like you're a little confused. BTW, Obama has already recognized potential problems with cap and trade and has stated they will do something to offset those costs.
These people were not peacefully protesting...
they attacked people going into the convention. They destroyed property. The constitution does not guarantee people the right to destroy property and attack people.
Wow! There are people protesting outside the room.
People were just yelling something about the bailout and somebody yelled "Put the money in the food bank so people can eat."!!!
So those protesting tomorrow are skinheads?
I have a feeling they will be hard working people just like the average American citizen..... ya know, those that actually pay their way in life and are sick to death of seeing it go to the dump!
I'll be looking for those skinheads and racist militia nutjobs you speak of.
BTW, please explain to me what is racist about wanting NO MORE TAXES! Now, don't scurry away.... stand up and try to defend your comment.
But he told the officer he wasn't protesting but then said he was at the end.
Which is it?
sounds like he was at the VA protesting, but at the time he was approached he was just having a cup
Still protesting too much.....and pot calling kettle black.
Sarcasm, condescenion, put-downs...check your last sentence. And I was serious, I hope you DO have a good day...you probably need one, because you bear a lot of hostility toward an anonymous poster on a public board. Remember Teddy...you shot first.
One million people are protesting in Iran...sm
What the Mousvi supporters are trying to do in Iran is to show the world that they can bring down the Ahmedinejad and hopefully also the leader of the theocray
WITHOUT
the meddling of the US for which they did not ask.
There are also in the cleric council contradicting opinions regarding the legitimate outcome of the election and how to proceed in solving this massive protests.
Ahmadinejad, meanwhile, left the country to Russia!!
This shows AGAIN the diplomatic excellence of Obama AND Biden when they held back their meddling and interfering, letting the people try it on their own!
If it were up to McCain and Cheney they would have made out of this conflict a 2nd-Iraq siituation, probaly invaded Iran!
Yada yada...still protesting too much. nm
