The Japanese used it to intentionally get false info.

Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld also used it to get false info. They were trying desparately to make a connection between Al-Q and Iraq. In other words, they didn't have a good excuse for going into Iraq (as well all know) and were still trying to get one retroactively.

We have known for years that waterboarding produces false confessions. So, with that in mind, why did we go to the SERE program to learn how to do it?
