When DH lost his job we made a lot of cut backs. We moved to a lower rent place, don't own anything except our truck we've had since ྒ, basic cable and just the necessities to live on, lots of large cheap pot meals that last days, etc. We had to cut back everything we could because if you don't have the money you can't do it. I don't know when the last time we went out to a restaurant or a movie, and I haven't been able to go back and see my family for the past 4 years. I would say we're luckier than most because we're able to do it, but I work every single minute that I can. I cringe when there is no work for me (like this a.m.) No work, no pay. That's what I meant by living on one income (if you can call it living). It's just a very boring mess and I can't wait for Obama to fulfill all his campaign promises and get the country back on track.
