You've given great advice!  We're stocked up.  When we bought this place it had a cellar, I guess it is.  The door is metal and flush with the ground.  There's very steep steps that go down about 8 feet into a room.  It has a vent pipe to the outside.  Never saw much use for it until now.  With our Dutch ovens we'll be able to cook too.  There's a photo page on my website with stuff different people cooked in Dutch oven cook-offs.

I believe we're in for rough times.  I'm reminded of Hank Williams Jr.'s song, "a country boy can survive."  He didn't mention girls but this girl can "skin a buck and run a trot line" too.  LOL

    'Morning back at ya s/m

I forgot whether I was suppose to eat crow if Obama was elected or if I was suppose to eat crow when he didn't do the right thing???LOL  Okay, so I'm confused.  Whatever I said is what I'll do.

I think those of us who are so inclined need to continue to pray and pray even harder. I don't believe in politicians, I believe in the AMERICAN people, or thought I did.  I think some are so "rabid" Republican that is all they can see.  I am saddened to see so much of the anti-Obama rhetoric continue.  I had hoped that my faith in the American people was not misplaced and whatever the outcome of the election, the PEOPLE would rise to the occasion and get about the business of changing this country in whichever way they think it should go.

I have "stuff" to do....have to go now and get ready to drive 80 miles to attend a luncheon, which I am not looking forward to.  When I get home this afternoon I'm going to start looking for addresses.  The first thing I am going to do is find a contact for Obama's camp and I will write a letter congratulating him and saying what I want to see him do.  Then I will keep a close watch on what  he is doing and won't hesitate to write again, again and ............

As for Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.......can't stand them and think they should GO!!  They will continue to hear from me as will my Senator and Congressman...1 Republican, 1 Democrat.  I voted for the Republican Congressman because he is working on me on some things in the state that are near and dear to  my heart.  I also let him know in no uncertain terms what I though of his voting for the bail-out and his agreement with amnesty for illegal aliens!  The Democrat...when she comes up for re-election I will do my best so see she is not re-elected although I am sure she will be...she's in the pocket of Wal-Mart and Tyson.
