The Mind is a terrible thing to lose

thus spats out another great repub VP choice, Dan Potatoe Quayle.

That is a terrible, terrible thing
How sad that you think this way. So negative.
Waste of time to argue with a simple mind
Here, I'll throw you a bone.......Palin.....ATTACK!!!!

The exact quote is "What a terrible thing to
have lost one's mind, or not to have a mind at all.  How true that is.".....Dan Quayle   If you Google Dan Quayle, there are more quotes made by him which are very funny. Amazing how Americans form their decisions to vote for these people.
the thing in my mind that is so bad about him is
he was actually hard on that kind of thing and then HE went and did it. what a hippocrite
No, I think it is terrible. It is way too far. And
not that you were implying it, but Obama had nothing to do with this (though I have a feeling he will somehow be blamed). The people that did it are some group, which I can't remember the name of off hand. They have done this before as evidently they hacked into some Scientology accounts a while back.
yes terrible tragedy
Well, you picture me and my life all wrong.  Yes, terrible disaster..  However, the ones to blame have to be pointed out and everything gone over in detail so it never happens again and so New Orleans and other cities/states at risk will get the money they should from the federal govt to protect the land and the people who live there.  You can bet if this happened under a democratic president, you guys would be screaming for his head by now.  However, I dont think it would have had the same devastating effects, as no democratic president is going to give tax cuts to the rich while waging a war.  I have always been taught, you need to keep a little bit of money for emergencies.  Bush, with all his family money, Im sure never was taught that.  Just run up the bills, there is always money to pay for it all.  Well, there isnt and there wasnt and the federal govt cut back on aid to all states due to Bush's extreme deficit.  The people are in agony now and it will get worse before better and the rest of the country will begin to feel the pain when gas shortages start happening and gas is $8.00 or more/gallon.  We probably will have other shortages also as the gulf is a major port.  Then the rage will be turned to where it should be turned..to Bush.
many terrible things are done in
the name of Christianity. That doesn't make Christianity terrible.
Alcoholism is a terrible disease. sm
I wish him only the best and hope he is able to find help and solace.  He is a deeply religious man.  He needs to lean on that.  As for the rest, having been raised in a family where alcoholism was very prevelant, I have learned to turn a blind ear to things people say when they are intoxicated.  It's between him and God.  He was making a film about the holocaust, so it's kind of hard to believe what he said was true.  More likely alcohol and the moment talking.  I know many in Hollywood are attacking him, but many are not.  I wish him the best.
oops, terrible mistake, but looks like some
xx
Right. Because Obama has done such a terrible job as president....(sm)

Oh, wait....no...it can't be....the audacity of this man.  He isn't even president yet, and just look at how he has changed this country.  He has given people hope for a brighter future....the nerve.  Things were much better when we could just torture people at will, invade who we want, pi$$ off the world, and not have to deal with those pesky civil rights.  Oh, those were the days!

Keep counting.

Isnt he terrible? I tried watching too and he comes
nm
Ummm....yeah, it would be so terrible..(sm)

If we just "let it go" then we have said it is okay to torture and to break the law.  We are supposed to be a nation of laws.  Those laws apply to everyone, even the former administration.

You guys constantly try to justify the war in Iraq by saying that Saadam was a tyrant (which he was) and that he was committing inhumane acts on his people.  We also ridiculed the Taliban for its treatment of women.

How much credibility do we really have to judge anyone else if we don't hold ourselves accountable for our OWN laws?

I hope the whole Bush bunch that came up with and ordered torture go to trial and are given the most severe sentence possible.  Maybe that way when other countries look at us they can see that we mean what we say instead of having a double standard for ourselves.

Religionopathy. Terrible, debilitating disease.

Terrible debate! Jim was not direct or specific enough in his ...sm
questions and allowed too much of the same old retoric from both candidates.
Yes, because he could not get elected no matter what he tried, like the man, terrible, worn-out, in

Waste? (sm)
So, in this bill are provisions to improve education, rebuild and upgrade our energy grid, improve transportion and infrastructure that is sooo needed, lowers the cost of healthcare, and the list goes on and on.   All of these things benefit future generations.  My personal favorite project is research and development into alternative fuels.  This will provide a completely new industry for future generations as well as reduce our dependency on foreign oil.  In case you haven't noticed, current production of just about everything in the US is diminishing.  Is that what we want to leave our kids?--- a dwindling country?  Yeah, its expensive...very expensive.  But the alternative is to do nothing, and that definately will not help future generations.
And you're an MT? Wow - what a waste of your
!
For me, I won't waste my breath saying anything to you, Sam, since you are always right!!!!!
.
You might as well not waste your time!
:D
I refuse to waste my

time reading biased, inaccurate opinions. Got a prob with that? Yours only.

Don't waste your time, JBB
Trying to reason with someone who has an imaginary sense of "reality" is an exercise in futility.
seriously, what a waste of time. NM

Please... don't waste your key strokes on these people.

They only come here to incite, to insult, to spread their hatred and rage all over this board.  It's physically impossible for them to stay on the Conservative board because they all agree, and they're not happy unless they can be vile and nasty and mean and stomp people into the ground, all the time wrapping themselves in the Bible and the flag.  They have posted bait on the Conservative board, and when nobody bites, they migrate to the Liberal board to get their daily fixes of hate mongering.  It must somehow make them feel like they have some power in their pitiful, mundane, unimportant, moronic little lives.

My suggestion is that we don't even read their posts.  Let them see that their posts were read 0 times, with no replies.  We are providing the fuel for their hatred every time we read or respond to one of their hateful posts.

They simply aren't worth the click of the mouse.

Don't waste your breath explaining it to them
They will only interpret everything you say as bashing. All logic is lost on some people.

Better than the waste products of your posting...
gutter level would elevate them. And to think that I annoy you...frankly makes my day. Thanks for sharing.
Responding to you is a waste of my time.
I do not waste my time responding to your political posts, and I will not waste my time arguing semantics with you. I would not associate with you in my personal life, and you are not worth my time and energy on this forum. I am afraid you will have to find someone else to listen to your nonsense.
dont waste your time on the
Federal Reserve Fox ploy . . . they are trying to make you lose the scent.  Research Republican history of deregulation. Making the government so small they can drown it in the bathtub. Research McCain's countless statements of being pro-deregulation. Research the safeguards built into the system after the Great Depression and how they were dismantled by the republicans in the name of "free market forces."
Don't waste your energy trying to engage
I don't argue with brick walls.
It would be a waste of time to try to address
Do you folks never tire of being scared and scaring each other? There is bigotry and there is racism, both of which pervaded during this election cycle in the media and at pub rallies. To deny this is so is truly beyond ridiculous. Yours is a very small, dark world view, unfounded in reality and not worthy of further comment.
Waste of time and money!
Mailing hundreds, thousands, or hundreds of thousands of red envelopes is a waste of time and money. It is not going to have any effect on the abortion law, and the only winner is the post office. Can't you people think of more constructive ways to support a cause?
While I'm sure Mrs. Bridger will waste more oxygen
in feeling she must respond to this post, Obama has thumbed his nose at this country. Common sense is obviously something he was NOT born with, as well as many other O lovers who are obviously so depleted of oxygen, they are following him like little lost sheep to the slaughter. Saving thousands of Americans isn't his top priority; you'll see that more and more as time goes on. He's so busy playing buddy buddy with countries that will NEVER be a buddy to the U.S.,he has forgotten what his job really is, to look out for us first, not worry about befriending (what a joke that is) every terrorist leader out there.
Waste of time, postage, and tea!
Don't you people have anything more important to do with your time and energy? Go volunteer to help those less fortunate than yourselves. You might even get some self-esteem out of it.
Stop. Don't waste your energy.
victim mentality they probably couldn't escape it even if they wanted to. They cannot separate the truth from the propaganda they have been fed. If they think the report pertains to them, perhaps they are really rightwing extremists.
Sure, it is not a waste to acquire any skill

and I think being able to speak more than one language is a good thing.  However, why is it that we must become bilingual in our own country to accommodate people who will not become bilingual when they move to our country?

Why voting in the US is a complete waste of time

I've said it for years and years.  This is an excellent article.

I guess they know it is a waste of breath rehash...sm
the same old things over and over. I think most of the dems are probably on another board discussing real issues instead of some fantasy world. I see a pattern of poisonous pablum being fed and swallowed whole.
Might as well not waste time talking to the haters.

Waste 101- Hannity haters, do not read

Although I'm not a big fan of Hannity, he had a countdown last night. I'd like to know how does landscaping certain hotels, buildings, etc. contribute to jobs? What happened to the infrastructure spending for roads and bridges that was to create jobs...even though those jobs would be temporary, some projects would have given a year or two of work. It still seems like these jobs are "once and done" jobs.

Even Microsoft gets a bridge across a highway so the workers have easier access to their other building across the highway. Why, since he's #2(?) in Forbes, couldn't he pay for it himself?

Hopefully, this list will be on line soon. It's not there yet.

The total for the 101 stimulus spending was $1,234,631,672. The good news is at least we know where some of the stimulus/omnibus money is going.

Cutting waste, fraud and abuse...They should be

Don't waste your breath. No one with a modicum of sense can honestly
believe these things. Some folks just like to stir the pot. Besides, look how the conservatives have cannibalized themselves in the elections past and have attempted to do so this year (claims in South Carolina of McCain being a traitor, etc.).

Some people will only ever see what they want to see. Unfortunately, they are victimized by those that play into their prejudices and fears.
Please do not waste our time with lies and insane allegations! nm

It is waste alright! You dont spend taxpayer money

I agree with poster below. Don't even waste your time reading the post. - Sarcastic and utter no
Oh brother - get real.
