Thanks, I wanted to clarify that I didn't mean "transitional" to discount the job by any means. In my particular situation it may be that or may not. I have time to figure it out and I haven't set anything in stone. If it winds up making me happy as a long run career than I could very well look back 20 years down the road and be glad I chose that path. 

I'm more worried about the software that is coming out than anything. It may not be close now but longterm we don't know where it will be and I have at least 35 working years left in me. I currently work for a major technology company and I've seen some amazing things. Plus, I've always been interested in nursing, too. Medicine in general, I suppose.  Thanks again!
