I would ask your QA or supervisor exactly what they mean by verbatim. For example, strict verbatim means typing EXACTLY what the doc says without cleaning it up at all. Or some places say verbatim but actually expect the grammar to be fixed, etc. However, I've never seen a verbatim account where they want you to rearrange the order of the report, restructure sentences, etc. That's not verbatim.

I would ask them to clarify what it is they want. They should have no problem letting you know, and will more than likely be glad you asked. Good luck!
