I am a machine court reporter and was wondering if there is the possibility for us to utilize our steno machine typing into Word to produce MT work.  does anyone know about this and whether our skills are transferable to this industry?  thank you

Small claims court (sm)
You should be able to take her to small claims court. If you have proof that she owes you, it's a fairly straightforward process.

You shouldn't need a lawyer.
court reporter software does integrate

yes, i recently purchased a software that allows my steno machine to act as the keyboard.  hence, typing at a speed of 225 wpm.

i also have 20 plus years of medical terminology exposure with 3 quarters of medical terminology while in school.  i've taken several depos through the years where the doctor is just reading verbatim from his op report, so i got pretty familiar with the different types of medical records through the years.

you guys are the experts here.  i am looking for a way to work from home in order to be with my daughter.  i know the pay would be less but i never wanted to be a millionaire anyway.

my strength would be my ability to produce a lot of lines in a day.  i know there's probably a lot more to learn, but do you guys think this is something i could transition into without needing to go back to school?
