to consult a CPA. The rules governing sales tax vary widely, depending on your locality, and following the wrong advice would wind up costing you a lot more than you would spend on a consultation. There are particulars to each situation that make them different. No matter what advice you receive on the board you would be held responsible for the accuracy of whatever advice you choose to follow...personally, I don't think it would be worth the saving to trust someone who isn't a CPA.
