Career Step?!?! products?
Any graduates of Career Step? Any information about how you felt about your experience would be greatly appreciated. I was so impressed by the website and information that I have received in the mail. I make $10/hr now in an office job. What are the chances that I can meet this as a grad?
Post regarding MS products and product key
Microsoft Word/Microsoft Word 2003 are the same
MS Word 2007 is an upgrade. Are you sure that you don't have it installed on your PC? I don't know if that helps...good luck, and please don't pull your hair out, it comes out with age (lol)
Sell MT books
Hi New MTs
I want to sell my MT books and dictinonary. The books are approved by AAMT because I took the course from the Review of Systems, Medical of Transcription School. These are the list of the books: Dorland's Dictinonary-30th edition; Stedman's Radiology Words,4th ed; Dorland's lab/path;Sloane's Med word; Med abbreviations & eponyms; Quick look drug book 2005, MT guide to MW; Dorland's med equipment word book; Mosby's handbook of anatomy physiology; the MT workbook from HP Institute; the AAMT book of style 2nd ed, and much more.
The price is negotiable. I don't need it anymore. Please e-mail at bapkho@yahoo.com. Thank You.

Yes, and we have a bridge we would like to sell you too
If you had to put some proof to all that you just said, we'd be looking at lots of blank space where there used to be writing. In other words, balderdash! Your message lacks credibility. I hope that anyone considering doing what you recommend thinks about it very carefully and then rejects those ideas. Most of us know that we see people following advice like this crying on boards every day because they don't know how to transcribe and nobody will test or hire them.
Don't sell yourself short
I am glad you were happy with your Allstate experience, but there are companies out there that hire new grads and provide full QA and excellent feedback and training and you do not have to pay them for it; they pay you. Some even pay hourly for training and provide a good cpl afterward.
If you went to a decent school and have the basic skills, do not sell yourself short. The more graduates that accept these no-pay or low-pay positions, the more there will be of them and consequently, fewer opportunities for graduates with good educations to make a livable wage.
Help with Microsoft word
I have to take a test and the company is not compatable with Word 2007 and I have to send the test back to them. How do I change the word 2007 into a lower version?
Thanks
Help with Microsoft word
They are saying that they have word 2003 and the platform required 2000 or 2003. So does that mean that 2007 does not work?
thanks
Looks like "resume" wants to sell you a flyer
Judging from the "email me for more info . . . resume@something.dot," Resume is going to have lots of flyers they can sell you. Or be selling some list of speech pathologists, or psychologists, all of whom are DESPERATE to pay you to do their typing, or some sort of software, or some sort of work-at-home opportunity in which you, too, will scavenge internet boards for people who need flyers and resumes, etc., etc.
This makes me wonder if this person is really an MT of they're just scavenging.
Instead of a flyer, send a professional letter with a professional-looking business card to medical, offices in your area. Use the FREE resource, the telephone book. As you will be working alone, you should aim for small offices.
Professional people respond well to professional people. Approach your clients in a professional manner. Your letter is going to be their "sample" of your work, so make it look like what they want their letters to look like.
You can work up a brochure to include with the letter, if you would like, but please don't do flyers. Don't stick anything under doors or on windshields. Use the US Mail.
Mean is the schtick the MT schools sell ya...sm
"you can make $40,000 a year working from home!" and then you pay your thousands of dollars to get out and find out no one will hire you without experience.
My memory is a bit fuzzy but I think Microsoft
autotext/autocorrect. Depending on how much you use in and how much you put in, there is a known problem that either of the programs can crash and leave you having to rebuild everything. Yes, macros are difficult. It might be best to invest in an abbreviation software program such as Smartype or Shortcut that uses little computer resourses, is reliable, can do the same things as macros and Smartype comes with all the Stedman words already in it so many times you don't even need to finish typing a word and it saves you keystrokes/time.
Good luck!
Microsoft Word delay
I am having a problem typing in Word. Every so often there is a delay and a letter is skipped. In the meantime, I am words ahead and have to go back to fix the missing letter. Obviously this will be an issue for production. I have looked all over the internet to see if it is a common issue but don't seem to see much about this delay. It is definitely a delay, not sloppy typing! Hopefully someone out there has had this issue as well? Perhaps hopefully it is just a settings issue! Thanks!

I have Microsoft word 2007 and I
Hi,
I have just got an XP laptop with word 2007 and I can't hear the Doctor's voices they are not coming through, nothing wrong with the volume. Is there anything you can do to correct this on word 2007?
Sarah
If no takers from this message try eBay. These sell very well there! nm
.
company is trying to sell you the software/equipment
it is a scam, not requiring the software/equipment. The company can offer payroll deduction, but an outright you must buy this from me first is a big red flag.
I meant sell the school or just her company. nm
Where do find Microsoft Word information?
Like justify right and left
How much text goes on a second page?
Reply to Microsoft Word Questions
How much info goes on second page depends on the document itself. It is highly unprofessional to have only two lines only or two lines and then a signature. If that's the case, change your margins and put it on one page or push more of it over to the second page. Only two lines in a paragraph or on a page is considered orphan or widow lines; there is not enough information to know for sure that the information on the other page really does go with those two lines--it leaves room for the possibility of confusion or switching of documents--which is way bad.
Left justify should be on your toolbar across the top of Word and looks like several lines which are even at the left side and uneven along the right side. The center key will be the next one and the left justify will be next, then--if it is on your toolbar with be left and right justify. This key looks like several lines, which are perfectly even along the right and left sides (like the newspaper).
Hope this helps.
Career Step will sell their course to anyone with the money, regardless if they will ever be capable
of doing MT work or not, regardless of how poor their command of the English language is or how poor their spelling skills are.
Didn't she sell it, or just your company to an offshore company. The woman
has a screw loose.
