You can do it...from one unemployed new MT to another :)

I come here occasionally to look at the boards and to see if there are any job listings for newer MTs; there usually is not.  I graduated in December and have been working my tail off looking for a job. I have been noticing a few things as I visit these boards the past month.

Alot of working MTs with years of experience are lacking work in their perspective jobs. Also, the few ads on here are primarily for MTs with 2 or more years of experience.

I just want to encourage the new grads. I am one as well, so I know how you must be feeling. There are moments I am pretty glum to think someone won't give me an opportunity to prove myself. I have to look back though at all the hard work I have put into the course I completed. I graduated with honors. Not that means alot in the working world but to me, it was an accomplishment.

A few helpful hints for job hunting. Utilize this and other MT boards for possible leads. I have 278 companies on my list of researched companies. I spend time each and every day looking for leads, testing, and keeping my researching and MT skills sharp. 

I know someone will give me a chance to prove myself eventually. I believe each MT on this board had to start somewhere. I mean, they didn't come out of the womb typing and knowing oncology terms. :)

This too shall pass. People will keep going to the doctor's, the economy will slowly pick up and we will be the next one they hire!
