have been an MT since 1987. You had better believe what is here on these boards. It is true. At least perhaps you would have a chance to change your mind. Some of us are way too old to consider a new profession if we could afford the training. Outsourcing is creating low wages for us and I am so afraid many patients will be impacted in a very bad way with some of this dictation coming from other countries. I have no problem with Canadian Transcriptionist because English is their language unless they are from French ancestry and still speak that. At any rate, you know what I mean.
This is sheer madness no matter what you outsource. None of us will make enough to feed ourselves or our families if we have one if we keep getting taxed upon taxed because state and federal government run out of tax bases from which to get that money and it is long since past time for government to stop spending so much on stupid stuff and idiotic frivolous things. We are talking people starving in our own country, those like me with no health insurance and many other issues. Being a woman living like this is not easy either. What kind of retirement can you save for if it takes all you have just to live.
