So why not advertise on the jobs board? Let people check out your company and not randomly e-mail newbies? Do you offer any instruction, or are interns left to figure it out? Are you affiliated with a national employer?

You may be legit, but in today's world, no way would I accept an internship that was solicited from my posts on a chat board. There are way too many people willing to take advantage of the anxiety and desperation of a newbie who can't find a job.
