You just have to find the right situation. Some companies want you to schedule your time, but others just want a certain number of lines in a 24-hour period. This article might help a bit with this subject.

I would also ask about their flexibility in sm
scheduling. Like if the work is low or if you have to go to the doctor's or something can you make up your time or do you have to use PTO...I would rather make up time for small things like doc appointments and save PTO for a real vacation. I haven't worked for anyone yet who prefer you make up the time, which works out nicely for me.
There IS flexibility in this job including working a split shift

There are TONS of
and it can take quite some time to get hired. Especially being a recent graduate. Trust me, I know. You have to stick with it, it will happen. There is nothing wrong with doing something else for awhile to get by, but if this is what you truly want, you have to dig in. See post below...RE:New Grads
The problem is bad pay because there are tons of new MTs...sm
We're all wanting work, so they (national companies) know that they'll always have someone willing to work for beans. Most doctors and hospitals don't even want to give a new MT the chance to prove his/herself.
tons of info on company board. do search.
..
You got lucky. See the tons of posts here of others who weren't so lucky. nm
