There is a thread about them on the company board.
You should probably check it out.
This thread is locked. Please see inside.
I have had to delete part of this thread due to vulgarity, which is unwarranted.
Please understand that responses from all perspectives may be posted but civility and respect still can be demonstrated.

I've seen talk on there of several companies that hire new grads.
I actually got hired at MQ right out of school - but it was a much different company then. I worked there for 3-1/2 years and bailed when the first signs of sinking occured.
I honestly only have experience with them and the company I'm currently at - and I don't think my current one hires new grads. Check out the company board though and I'm sure you'll find a company that will make you much happier than MQ could.
Check the company board. These same
questions have been asked multiple times the past couple of weeks. I didn't see anything good about them.

I have cleaned up this thread. (SM)
Stop correcting other posters on their grammar, spelling, etc.
This particular board is for new MTs or those individuals interested in becoming MTs. Stop with the ugliness and corrections. If you cannot be supportive or at least objective in your opinions on the industry, then do not post on this board.
See the Administrator's message at the top of the board.

Definitely read the thread below..
I am happy that Annette gave such a clear cohesive response..in that one MT course will MAYBE get you clinic work..but you will no way be ready for acute care until you have had a minimum of 1-2 years of training. MT is a difficult and technical and the best training is on the job..no doubt, with a great mentor... and I just do not see all the time needed to get proficient as worth it. If you have time to take the course..I would recommend coding as well...and a terminology class before hand..might help give you a small foundation of understanding. Good luck
I thought the thread was for everyone...not just newbies BTW are you a newbie? nm

Didn't she sell it, or just your company to an offshore company. The woman
has a screw loose.
No, the woman who owns this company can't transcribe herself, much less run a company.

Any company that charges anything to work is not a reputable company. However,
if a company offers a job and requires that you have a certain pedal and offers to provide it and then take it out of say your first paycheck or couple of paychecks, then that is acceptable.
My belief is that companies that charge you for software or anything else is trying to make money off of you.
While $11.95 isn't much, figure that amount times 10 or 20 or 100 and what do you come up with? Smells like a scam to me.
company was sold so they have no company to hire you after graduation!
They are not a reputable school and I went there so I should know. Even when they did have Trans. Relief Services they never answered my email about employment upon graduation.
Then tell me what the appropriate board is please
Because I go to the job seekers and all I see are employers, not people soliciting jobs. Please help.
Bet someone on the technical help board can help. nm

Job Seekers Board?
My apologies, I'm new at this. Should I post it on the Job Seeker's Board?

don't believe all that you read on this board.
I have worked for Medquist for a few years, and I think they are a great company to work for. There have been a few bumps in the road, but they hear the MT's and are trying to correct them. The pay is good, and the platform is excellent.
job seekers board
Do you know what I think is really funny? When newbies (me)ask where we can find a job that hires new graduates and we are told to check the job seeker's board! Have you checked it lately?? 2-5 years experience and NEW GRADUATES need not apply! How do we get experience? with pay??
job seekers board
I am sorry but to me that is a load of you know what!! I worked just as hard as anyone and I am sick of hearing how I should of went to Andrews or M-tech whatever!!! I worked my butt off for along time and I would just like a chance to prove what I have learned! who cares what school I went to? Sometimes it has to do with the student don't you think?
There's a job on the seekers board for new MTs.
New MTs looking may want to apply. I'm not a newbie, but will never forget how I started out.
There is info further down this board regarding CS.
Ask on the word board.
I'm new to this board (maybe 2 weeks).
Sometimes I just read the posts to see who is the meanest. EvaEv - you win!
This is not the appropriate board to post this. You
need to post your resume on the job seeker's board - look to the left.
