I will look into your recommendations. This morning I stretched my hands and fingers by holding my hand palm up and hyperextending each finger individually until I could feel a nice stretch through the palm.  I think part of the problem is simply that my hands are not used to being held in a cupped position for such a length of time.

I had DeQuervain's about 10 years ago, seem to be getting Raynaud's symptoms more frequently in the cold and occasionally have a mild tendinitis flare up in my right thumb, so I am trying to keep my hands and fingers healthy to prevent any further problems!  Sheesh I am only 35.  I have told my husband I may be using one of those scooters before I am 50 the way my joints and tendons act up on me! (I have occasional hip joint soreness also).

Again, thanks for the suggestions.
