Kathy, I just had a chance to read your reply.  Thanks for taking the time to give me some keyboard advice.  I don't have an ergonomic keyboard at this time; however, it is something I may decide to get in the near future.  As for the positioning of my hands, I've been trying to keep both hands on the keyboard and use the mouse as little as possible.  I find that my right hand is always in standard typing postion, but I have a tendency to keep my left thumb on the Alt key because I use it so much.  Your way may be much better.  I hope that I can find a way to increase my speed before too long.  Right now, though, my slow speed probably has more to do with the fact that I spend so much time looking up stuff.
