Thanks so much Lindy!! I've caught bits and pieces of the offshore stuff on various posts, but never knew exactly what it all meant.

Another question, how do you know if you are applying with a reputable company? I worked for one for a couple of weeks that looked great. I got my paycheck, put it in the bank, and it bounced a week and a half later!!! I contacted the company and they gave me some story about changing accounts at the bank and there being some mistake. They said they'd take care of it. Two weeks later, when I hadn't seen the check yet, I emailed anyone I could find. I called to speak to a person (no one available, only an answering service). After a few emails to many people, I finally heard back that they would take care of me. They did, and I received my re-issued check last week. I never got an explanation of what happened, but the check was issued the day I had emailed back (2 weeks after it was supposed to have gone out). Okay, long story longer, I have put the check in the bank and will wait to spend it until I'm sure it's gone through.

I will not name this company until I see how this check goes, as the story may have been true and the re-issuance may have been an oversight (yes, I'm too trusting).

Sorry, this was a long post, but how do you know it's a good company? I didn't find any negative posts about this company, except that their pay is too low. I took the job because I needed experience, low pay or not. Where's a newbie to go? I didn't choose the best school. Mine didn't help me find a job and didn't give the best education as far as I'm concerned, but I need to start somewhere.
