Honey, I have more technology in my home than most companies have in their server rooms. I have not only education but experience in technology so I can't possibly be out of touch with reality or current trends.
By the way, I have NEVER watched an episode of American Idol. I spend much of my free time writing communications software. And yes, if a doctor tells me I have cancer and there is no hope, I will call him negative. If he tells me I have cancer and lays my options out before me, I will see that he is well-informed and promoting health.
As for outsourcing. How many cars that we drive in America are made in foreign countries, but the job of a good mechanic is still worth it's weight in gold. MT will not be abolished, at least not in my lifetime. Just as we still have yet to vacation, as promised years ago, on the moon.
