You are so desperate that your tongue is hanging out!!!! I feel for you, and also for your family (assuming you have one. We don't EDIT in email or Live Chat, sorry you do. You need a vacation so you can have some FUN.

Maybe they're getting desperate because MTs
are realizing having your CMT is worthless & a waste of money. Not to mention, MTs are purposely not getting their CMT because they feel AHDI/AAMT has sold us out by pushing for the offshoring of our jobs.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am a graduate from a 2 year program. I graduated in June of 2005 and finally got a job in october of 2005 with Sten-Tel. They have an externship program specifically for new MTs. That is how I got hired. They will QA your work until you give quality work. However, you are an independent contractor and not an employee. Send me an e-mail if you want more info. I also work from my own home. All I had to purchase was the foot pedal. The software program you get from them by downloading it.

I was just offered an extern position with Sten-Tel. Has anybody worked for them and can tell me good/bad experiences?

I would love to have more info on this company and would greatly appreciate any that you have to give. Is this a legit company? I already have my Assoc. degree in MT, am I going to have to shell out more $$? Will I have to get more schooling? I checked out another transcription company like this and they had several complaints filed against them with most resolved, but I was given the advice that, one should not have to pay to get a job, unless of course, it is for college.

If any new MTs are looking for employment. Sten-Tel, Inc. has an externship program that hires new graduates. Go to their website and type in the word "careers" in the search engine and it well tell you about the externship program.

I graduated in June of 2005 and got hired on with Sten-Tel October of 2005.
