This is why I do not think we should accept low-paying jobs with excuse that we save on childcare, clothes, gas, etc. There are other costs involved.
As for write offs, I do claim all that as a business expense, but my business deductions were less than the standard deduction, so I still only get the standard deduction I would if I was working out of the home.
