So it's okay with you if they gave false credentials?

Just wondering what you are trying to say.

    You are advocating false credentials???!
A person who believes in copying certificates and using them illegally is advising others what to do? I think your message speaks for itself.
I just went to the RS website and the part # I gave you
is selling there for $6.97, but I paid about $17.00 for mine.  There is a part #26-728 that is described as a USB to game port adapter for about $17.00, so maybe the new model # is an upgrade from the previous one.   It doesn't show a picture of the part, but does show it is being in stock.  I also went to e-bay and didn't spend much time looking but they also have an adapter that is not a Radio Shack one, but should do the same thing based on the description.    You can check local stock on-line at Radio Shack without having to go to the store.   Maybe it is so new they don't have it in stores yet, since they don't even have a picture on the website.  Good luck to you.
This is not true at all -- completely false.
You don't know what you're talking about!

Someone here gave you really good advice. sm
Call the schools you mentioned. I know there is a third that is reputable, but I can't remember the name.

I believe these schools screen their applicants carefully. They will answer all questions, and ask many of their own. They don't want you to take on something you won't complete. That's one reason they're reputable. Make a written list of things you want to know, even if they seem like silly questions, and call. This is your best source of information.

Then you have to make the decision. It's hard to take the plunge. It's a commitment. No one can make it for you. It is a good part-time field, but the work is hard, and there is a long training period. You have to constantly learn and constantly grow. It's not for the timid. But there are also a lot of people willing to help, with mentoring or just encouragement.

I've done this for 18 years, and I love it, but I'm antisocial. I hate an office!

Best of luck to you, whatever you decide.
    False claim on their website...sm
I graduated from M-TEC's Premier Program, and there are 2425 minutes of dictation available (with an extra 1000 minutes of optional dictation available). My training at M-Tec prepared me VERY well, and I had a job within a week of graduating and had very little problem transitioning from M-TEC's practice dictations to real live dictations.
    mt gave a good response
Focus uses the EditScript platform and it was actually pretty good with VR. However, I didn't like editing. I would rather type and am faster typing than editing reports.
Unfortunately, the best time to ask about the school would have been BEFORE you gave them your money
Allied is a very poor course, it doesn't teach you what you need to know, you don't get enough good transcription practice, and unfortunately it is going to be difficult to find a job.

You need 2 years' experience to take the CMT (certified medical transcriptionist) test through the AHDI (formerly AAMT).
If the school does claim it, it's false, unethical, and probably illegal
