SAHM Job

Hi there,
I'm a mom of 2 boys, a 4-year-old and a 5-month-old. I have been doing medical/general transcription from home for about 3 years now, and I agree that it is very difficult to hold a full-time position with your kids running around.
I started working my first job as an MT just before I completed my MT course. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Don't get me wrong - I love the work and the income it brings in to help my family, but I started to notice a huge change in my oldest son's personality due to the time I was spending away from him and working on the computer.
I stayed there for almost 6 months, and that's where I found my current job. I would definitely look into being an IC versus an employee. I work when I want and take on how much I want. I don't have set hours, I don't have to be on the computer 7-8 hours at a time every day.
Also, I know a lot of these companies say 2-3 years experience or whatever, but I finally got so frustrated at being turned down, that I applied EVERYWHERE, no matter how much experience was required. You'll find that some are not as strict on that rule, even though their website or job ad state those requirements.
Good luck, and I hope you will find the perfect job for you!
