Probably showing my age, but s/m

The same thing happened 100 years ago back when I went to secretarial school.  We would do the ShortHand tapes, and the people on them all spoke slowly and clearly.  I lasted two days on my first job, when I got into the real world and realized the bosses all talked very fast, and then I couldn't read my shorthand to transcribe it.
