Overhiring (sm)

Of course you should call.
Once you start working for a service (or services), though, you'll find this overhiring ploy is a very common one. A service will place an ad here or on XXXXX, receive some 600 resumes, "hire" everyone who seems competent, and then see how things sort out; a month or 2 later, they'll "suddenly" run out of work and lay off/fire/terminate contracts with the bottom 20-40% of their producers and repeat the cycle.
Is the service you've fallen for one of the most notorious for this practice? I'd be happy to reply via email as I belong to a very active group of local MTs; we've probably worked with every service there is!
