ONCE AGAIN....

It's becoming clear to me that my posts are apparently stirring the pot, although that's not what I intended. I thought this was a place I could come for advice on what to do, because I was told before I ever began this from a stay-at-home Mom that she was an MT and worked her own hours and made decent money and was still able to find balance between her job as an MT and being a MOM. I didn't intend to offend those of you who work your butts off to get your work done. Believe me when I say this, I got to see first hand how tough it is when the gentleman that offered me work started training me. I almost think the reason he did it was to show me EXACTLY what I was getting into. The school (PCDI) didn't really train me. They gave me basics and that's it. But,there was no real information given on how much work was really involved. I still don't see why any of you are taking offense to what I have posted. I don't consider any of you to be bad moms, or bad MTs or anything else any of you may be thinking. I don't KNOW any of you. What I thought was since this is appparently a tough career choice and it can be frustrating for those of you just starting and those of you who have been doing it for years, that we could all support one another. I'm sorry if I am jaded and expected too much from a message board. My personal opinion of working at home is MAKING YOUR OWN HOURS. But, that's all it is MY OPINION. Apparently being an MT was not originally a work at home job, I DID NOT KNOW THAT. I thought all MTS were contracted and worked from home, or worked FOR companies but still worked from home. I think some of you could have informed me of that without being RUDE...but, then again, maybe there's a lot more behind your rudeness than that. I don't really want to throw away the information I learned and earned. One of you posted something about working when kids are at school and at night after they go to bed...isn't THAT making your own hours???? Well, that actually was my intent...work in the morning while my toddler is in pre-school and then work in the evening when Dad gets home and the kids go to bed. What's so wrong with that? If it's not possible, then it's not...but I don't need to be stoned to death by people on the board who work all day long and into the night and got kicked out of the hospital and on and on. Try a little patience and understanding...it won't kill you. LISA
