I read your post and cracked up because I had just been on the Medquist board and was shocked at how vicious some people can be. Some people do not want to help other people. It is just the way it is. Anyway, I do work at Medquist and mostly get on to read posts and most of the time I am afraid to post anything because of the fear of being attacked about it.
Don't let it influence you. There are a lot of people out there willing to help you. I have had some really nice people reply when I have been brave enough to post. If you get a negative post, just take it with a grain of salt like the other poster said. The majority are there to help.
p.s. My hubby is a nurse and what you said about nursing is true too!
