I can certainly sympathize with you. It is difficult to get started in this industry. Many companies will hire people outside the US, but many advertise to their clients that they only use US based transcriptionists. While they may understand your situation, they are stuck by their word. Also, I believe that HIPPA laws only apply if you are in the US, although I could be wrong about that. I don't really know what else to tell you other than to keep trying.
