MEDITECH for Radiology
I've searched the boards and don't see any real recent posts regarding Meditech. I am starting a new radiology account which uses Meditech. All I know is that I WILL NOT be using the Meditech program that uses Word. Does that mean it is DOS-based? Is that what MAGIC is? Are they other Meditech programs that use something other than Word or DOS? What are your average lines per day? I hear a lot of people copy/paste from Word into the system.. does that work for all Meditech programs? I would REALLY appreciate some info about this platform and people's average lines on it. Thanks so much.
She probably meant either MTACC or Meditech, not M-TEC. NM

Meditech hires newbies for real
Meditech is a company that does hire newbies for their internship. I finished my internship in October and am now a full-time employee. I am posting this message to let everyone know who hasn't found that perfect company that hires newbies, that this is a legitamate company who does. Everyone wants you to have experience, this is how you get that experience.

Hi I'm I guess what they would call a an MT newbie. How exactly can you get the 2 years experience that most companies require if they won't hire you without having any experience? It seems like every company on the internet wants a minimum of 2 years experience. I am just starting out in this field and would actually like to work as an IC.

And Spheris is definitely hiring because they sent me
a postcard in the mail. I've never worked there before, but they want me to apply there. I haven't heard good things about their software in the past, so I doubt I've ever applied with them.
Hiring Newbies
Medi-Voxx out of Louisville Kentucky hired me right out of school. I've been with them for close to one and a half years now. I love the work and the company is great. They mentored me and I can't say enough good things about this company. Give them a try.
Focus always hiring
I started there as a newbie and they were great. I still work for them part time, along with another company. They were very patient and they QA you until you are ready to be on your own. You will still get feedback even after to get off QA. They will give you a chance if you do okay on the test. They hired me even though I did not completely pass the test, but they said I did well enought to hire. Now I have greater than 98% accuracy on a consistent basis. They are a decent company, despite some of the negative posts I have read about them from others. I also do agree it is best to have more than one company once you get some experience. Every once in a while they do run low on work.

hiring newbies
Hi. Have you tried MediVoxx? They hired me as a newbie right out of school and mentored me for the past two years. I love working for them. hiring company
I found a company online offering MT jobs, as well as an 8 week course you could take if you wanted to. They say "minimal experience is okay." The company is Med Trans Inc. Anyone heard of them?? Should I steer clear?
Hiring new grads
Does anyone have any information on which companies might be hiring new grads, or anyone willing to give a newbie a chance? I am having a hard time finding work, and I've been out of school for about 6 weeks. Is this unusual or am I expecting too much too soon? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I work for a small MTSO. They aren't hiring - sm
I've been with them for years, and they still have the same group of 10-12 MTs. Very steady, but they rarely hire new people.
"hiring MTSOs" would mean MTSOs that are currently hiring peope. n/m
