I know what you mean. I have been a nurse for the last 30 years. I have a hard time with the grammar also. I am reading the AAMT Book of Style Student Work Book. I am finished with the school now I wish I had this book when I was attending. Then I got The Associated Press Stylebook 2008, this is the one the journalist use.
