MT/CMT as instructor

When I took my community college courses in transcription and terminology my instructor was an MT for the large group I now work for.
A few weeks after I completed the course the group had an opening for an overflow/backup MT and my name got thrown in the pot - I know I got lucky because not only did my instructor work there, so did my children's great, great aunt. I did have to test though and, thanks to the great teaching skills that my instructor had, I was chosen for the position. I am still there over 3 years later.

I just talked with my instructor
today about line rate, as one company I tested for is offering 6.5 cents/line. She said that was reasonable.
If you want REAL textbooks, a REAL instructor, and REAL feedback ...
on how you're doing, then M-Tec is the way to go.
CS is NOT as good, homemade materials, correct your own work by comparing it to something typed by someone else, etc.
I attended CS and if I knew then what I know now, I would choose M-TEC (or Andrews School) in a heartbeat.
